A conservative democrat in Oklahoma is pretty much the same thing as a republican in California. So we're talking about a lot of grey area here depending on where you reside... Personally I've seen some pretty sucky parents on both sides of the aisle.

Not that I disagree but can you elaborate a bit on this quote?

Meaning that whatever religion you care to take part of has a guideline of morals or beliefs that is stronger than any law of the land. Now I understand that the radicals in any religion can be over the top, but raising a family with some sort of principles is a great thing. I believe that families with strong morals all originate from a religious base. My opinion of course, but the trickle effect is proven to come from that.

This is a stupid question.

Republicans would rather have their kids turn out a certain way and are better off with Republican parents.

Democrats would rather have their kids turn out a certain way and are better off with Democrat parents.

In doesn't always turn out that way but you have a better chance turning out a liberal kid with democratic parents...unless you are a hardcore nature over nurture person....which again it dosen't matter...

there is no right answer

I think that anyone who backs any party/church/cult/organization blindly on every idea is a poor excuse for a parent and a sad representation of our society. Teaching kids that an authority figure should never be questioned and that you should just follow someone because they say so is the opposite of what I teach my kids. Respectfully asking questions and thinking critically is much more important than how you define yourself.

Democrats own policy says "parents" are not parents so its really not even a question.

Dems want to eliminate marriage altogether to end the traditional idea of a "family"
Dems believe in "it takes a village" which takes the parenting responsibility out of the parents hands.
Just last week the Democratic Socialist Propaganda Channel had an entire show dedicated to the lie and communist idea that kids are the property of the State and dont even belong to their parents.

Im not saying there are not good parents who are Dems, there are millions but as far as the platform of the party as it pretains to the OP's question its not even a discussable issue. Democrats do not believe in parenting done by the parents so what is there to debate?

This might be one of the most trolltastic thread titles ever. I'm not convinced that parenting is a partisan thing. I'm the Libbiest Lib that ever Libbed and I know that if I had kids I'd be pretty strict.

It's ridiculous to try to separate the various parenting methods into just two categories based on political affiliation. This is one of the dumbest threads I've ever seen here.

I'm pretty liberal, but I've got an ultra liberal friend that makes me look like a taliban. And he is one of the strictest parents that I've seen, with a couple of the most well mannered boys you'll ever meet. Now if the thread title had read democrat, republican or muslim, then I would have an opinion about this subject. I don't consider myself very prejudice, but I'm really starting to have a disliking for anything or anybody that has the title of muslim associated with them. And I definitely wouldn't trust their muslim kids to turn out to be perfect citizens. Although I'm sure many do...But

And which party ostracizes a race if they do not tow the line and think in lock step with their own idealology? Which party throws oreo cookies at a black conservative mayoral canadate from D.C. Which party dismisses a sitting Supreme Court justice as an Uncle Tom and a bafoon because he holds conservative views. I could go on and on and on...

This is a fun game.

this is a numbers game. look at a democrat and republican gathering. the only thing you see is old white males. they need a scapegoat, which is why they go after blacks and hispanics. blacks with the welfare line, hispanics with the immigration angle, even gays now.

republicans depend on the southern strategy bible belt white male gun toter vote. that vote is dying off though.

Do you have an education or have you spent you entire life in your mothers basement? Would you please explain what you mean by "go after", i cant find that definition anywhere.
Would you please compare the number of Congressional candidates by race and party in the 2010 races? I dont know the number of minority candidates that were Democrats but i do know there were over 110 Republican minority candidates in those races. I would love to compare the numbers but i cant find it for Democrats.
Would you then compare the number of speakers who were minority at the last Presidental conventions?? I cant find those numbers either but with your superior intellect im sure you can while you wait for the mailman today....

The head of a teacher's union opposes the scholarships, claiming that the students belong to the union and parents should not have a choice in the education of their child.
P.S. Be sure to watch ALL the Republicans who they show disagreeing with the idiot union head.

I'll answer from personal experiences. I have friends who are both ... My observations are the Republicans children are much better mannered and much more respectful. The three Democrats that we are around regular I cannot stand to be around two of them when their children are there. They are completely out of control, and the parents do not have any since of responsibility for them.

You are really, really stupid......i hope you're not a parent. Can't imagine the mental damage you could do to your kids with this kind of thinking.

I really don't know if most parents in my circle are democrats or republicans nor do I care to ask.

Might as well ask if white or blacks are better parents.

As with anything, some people will have an opinion, some won't. I'm in the "won't" category
