Looking at importing some products to sell in CR. Can anyone recommend anyone reliable to help with importing? Looking to find out fees, process, legalities (it's legal, but perhaps the ministerio de salud will need to approve of it) and get general overall help. If anyone has any reputable customs brokers, please hit me up. Thanks in advance.
It MIGHT be difficult to find just a customs broker to import your items...whatever they may be into CR. The reason being is the freight PROFIT is not attached and therefore very lttle money to be made just as a broker. Im not saying it cannot be done, but it will also depend at what volume you are shipping. For example the paper work is Basically the same whether you are bring 1 bottle of vitamains are 30,000. So its not worth to ship a small amount because your profit is eatin up in paper work and taxes. You mention the "ministerio de salud" that can be another issue. There are reasons that they shut down all the GNC stores for a few days and AeroCasillas bans all type of per say health products. Again I have no idea what you ae shipping. We do ship for business like Auto Mercado and Sabores. Shipment is made by them and containers are then parked in bonded warehouse and they have very experienced people that will clear from bonded. Again Im not infering at all that you cannot find JUST a customs broker, but what ever you do get your quote in writing because once you get a item in a bonded warehouse you are at there mercy and it can be bad at times. There are hunderds of containers that sit there because of these issues and can take months and months to clear... Good luck with you future endevaors

We only clear and handle customs if we are the shipper. The poster stated he already had a shipper....
we are shippers and have the ability to clear anything... But the answer to your question there are brokers but none that make sense because of what they will charge to do it... But without being repetitive it depends on cargo and qty
