I am very confident I will win because once Trump is completely out of the picture one way or another, which I consider
a virtual certainty for what I deem to be obvious reasons(including being tossed in jail or disqualifed), imo this in itself is going to
engender some other republicans to step forward, some of whom may be just lurking in the shadows waiting
for the opportune time to jump in.
I believe that Republicans as a whole are looking for someone to represent them who holds more traditional
republican values and who they deem a real human being unlike Trump, who exemplifies the worst
qualities imaginable in that regard!!
Since you answered my question regarding Trump, I will give my own opinion at this juncture of being the nominee
all things considered, which is .0001 % of his being chisen.
Although no one knows for sure who will declare themselves a candidate, at this juncture I would give Pence at least
a 33% chance for the simple reason that he is a known quantity, having been a VP, and unlike Trump is considered
by most to be a decent and respectful human being with traditional republican values!!
On the other hand, DeSantis is pretty much a younger version of Trump with values that don't represent
true republican values, and once things get rolling, people across the country(which is a lot bigger than just Florida)
and choose him or someone else who emerges who shares similar values.
Imo the biggest worry I have about Pence is his age(63), which isn't old but in comparison to younger votes is still
difficult to relate to.
This applies to all potential candidates of both parties including Biden!!
That's it.
In short, the bet is on and I am not going to debate something like this for the simple reason that the nominating process for
2024 is still well over a year away and at this juncture it is simply my opinion for reasons stated against yours!!
Imo most likely there will be no winner or loser in this bet when all is said and done.
I say that because I feel so strongly that Trump will not be a viable candidate for reasons stated long before the nominating process
begins.
For me, if and when, this happens I will be done posting PERMANENTLY in this thread within a week of this occurrence.
Thus, it won't matter who is nominated and the self-ban will be meaningless.
And along the same lines, since I will be out of here, it won't matter personally to me if you self-ban for four weeks or not
if you lose because I will be gone and don't give a rat's ass if you pay off or not!!
