Even though I know probably no one will respond to the points I make here DIRECTLY/POINT BY POINT which
was the case yesterday in posts 25,595 and 25,598 as which has always been the case when I post something
which is far deeper than skin deep, I am going to do it again confident that people will read and consider it even
if they don't respond directly.
Anyways my thoughts in this post are going to be confined to Donald Trump and an overview of why imo he will not be POTUS again.
I am looking at this matter both from I deem to be the point of view of the country and that of Trump.
To be fair and as the case with anyone else, I admit that these are my opinions only, meaning that I can't get out of my own
skin to see how other people in the country including Trump really feel in this matter.
I have always felt that this thread and for that matter the entire Political Forum could be improved vastly of civil, respectful
and provoking discussion could and would go on instead of the taunting, name-calling, attacks. and Pavlov Dogs
Counter Attacks only, which currently define the overall modus operandi of folks in this Forum.
And yes to be fair, I am currently part of that culture even though I would love to see it change dramatically for the better
in the way I just suggested,
Anyways with that in mind, here I go with my perception and opinion as to why Trump won't ever be POTUS again.
First of all as I stated before, I am going to look at the matter from my opinion about the country as a WHOLE
feels about him(obviously I am not talking about devoted Trump supporters, QAnons, etc. here).
Instead I am trying to stand back and look at the matter as objectively as I can from an outsider's point of view.
My thoughts are actually quite simple and concise here.
In short, I simply don't believe that if Trump was the nominee he could win whether it be by one Electoral College Vote
or many Electoral Election Votes.
Trump has already shown both in the 2016 Election and to an even greater extent in the 2020 Election that he is incapable
of winning the Popular Vote.
Imo over the upcoming days, weeks and months the situation is only going to get worse for him once his role for January 6th
is documented as well as the other legal battle facing him.
At the very least the findings are going to raise some very serious doubts in the eyes of the populace and make independents
and undecided LESS likely to vote for him.
Couple that with what I perceive his continued shocking behavior of continuing to bitch and complain at this late date
about the Election being stolen and with no signs of letting up, and imo this type pf behavior is going turn off
a lot of voters in itself!!
There is a lot more I could add including his personality, lies, etc, but to keep it simple, I am going to ride with what I said and conclude
that I simply find it difficult to believe philosophically speaking that there are enough people out there who would return
him to office, if he is in fact the nominee, which I stated and continue to believe, is a longshot at best.
Now switching over to Trump himself. here are a few reasons why imo he won't be the nominee and probably will not want
to be.
Thes are in no particular order.
First of all he is going to be 78 years old in 2024.
I am in his age range and actually two years older.
Even though I can't put myself in his place because we are two different individuals I have to think to think
that even though imo he is delusional in that he believes that he won the 2020 Election, I also believe
that he is a realist and knows that he is in the latter stages of his existence here on Earth.
Thus I have to at least question whether for the next four years he really wants to feel the inherent daily
pressure of being POTUS with all of the responsibilities that go with it.
Perhaps it might be just easier, more relaxing and just as enjoyable to bash Biden or some other Democrat if they win as he does now
as an outsider with plenty of followers as well as saying how he would do things in the confines of his home, etc.
If a Republican was elected, it would be even easier provided of course that the POTUS did things Trump's way.
In addition to above, who knows what his physical and mental state will be at that time??
Everything may seem ok now, but at his age things can change dramatically and without notice for the worse.
Just yesterday I chatted with someone with whom I used to work who is the same age as I am, and with whom I hadn't been
in contact for a while.
Anyways one of the topics which came up for discussion was another long retired fellow employee of the same age as us
with whom both of us were friends.
The aforementioned individual wIth whom I hadn't talked to in many years(which is in contrast to the person with whom
I had chatted yesterday who has been in touch fairly regularly) told me that our mutual friend, who was/is
one of the sharpest people I ever met, all of a sudden out of nowhere is now suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's
Disease is now confined to a nursing home.
My acquaintance told me that the last time she spoke to him, which was a few months back, he showed no evidence of this and was
sharp as a tack.
Anyways, I think the point is well taken as it applies to anyone in that age whether it be Trump, me or someone else!!!
The last quick point which is just a quick opinion/afterthought which is related to both parts 1 and 2 above is that the country
wants someone a bit younger than other Trump or Biden, someone who younger folks like themselves can relate to!!
That's it!!
Thanks to all who took the time to read this monstrosity of a post, and although I don't expect anyone to respond, please feel
free to do so!!
