WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government’s top infectious disease expert issued a blunt warning Tuesday that cities and states could “turn back the clock” and see more COVID-19 deaths and economic damage alike if they lift coronavirus stay-at-home orders too fast — a sharp contrast as President Donald Trump pushes to right a free-falling economy.

“There is a real risk that you will trigger an outbreak that you may not be able to control,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned a Senate committee and the nation as more than two dozen states have begun to lift their lockdowns as a first step toward economic recovery.

Now

Johns Hopkins University researchers say lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little to no impact in reducing COVID-19 deaths.

According to a new analysis of dozens of scientific studies, the lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%.

"We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality," the researchers wrote.

The lockdowns did have "devastating effects" on the economy, however, and contributed to numerous social ills, the paper noted.

"They have contributed to reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence and undermining liberal democracy," the researchers said.

"Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument," the paper concluded.

So much for another right wing conspiracy . You see , the left and their so called “experts” like the runt Fauci have all the answers . How dare you question them or they will silence you .

I can’t seem to find any articles by the left leaning media outlets on this study .

Can lightweight and his buddies help me out ? Maybe I missed a couple .

Logical thinking

I see it’s already Hail Mary time .

Robert Reich . Now teaching public policy at one of the most liberal campuses in the country . Lol !

Not even that sham committee who plans to,have prime time hearings before the midterms can stop the red tsunami come November .

You both might want to look at voter concerns as we approach the midterms . And I can assure you , outside of the DC bubble and Libtard nation this ain’t one of them

Here is a real beauty posted by fpp/sbd last February.

I will leave it to you to decide how much of it was/is true and if you don't know already, what it says about fpp/sbd's prognosticating

ability and overall state of mind:

INTELL INSIDER UPDATE:

This is truly a game of chess.

The game is played according to our plan and timeline, not what Americans think it should be.

Americans want to see "action".

"Action" = "blackouts [follow the blackouts]

Silence very important now. [game of 'telephone' increases risk]

WHY GET IN THE WAY OF AN ENEMY WHO IS HANGING ITSELF?

"outside - in" [secure assets outside U.S.]

All assets in America are already secured.

Patience.

Soon.

Very soon.

PATRIOTS IN CONTROL.

This is a good time to bring this January post forward as a reminder.

Trump's silence is literally driving the Dems-DS "mad".

But silence is "key" right now.

And don't mistaken it for "no action".

There is so much going on behind the scenes right now.

More than most can even comprehend.

But this game of chess is almost over.

And so is the Biden Circus!

Get ready for the "return".

The end is near.

Who will the trumpers suck off when he is gone?
Not only is the "Trumpmobile" running out of gas, which in Trump's case means running out of "gas" in the sense of

appealing to a broad section of the overall population which would be needed in the

one in a zillion chance that he is even the nominee, but the aforementioned "Trumpmobile" is about to be battered

so badly in the upcoming days by the likes of Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Jaime Raskin with their intense investigation

of good old Donny, that at best it will have an auto salvage value of maybe a couple of hundred dollars!!! lol

The resident morons think it's about running out of money.

They can't comprehend that he's a fading fad.

As I see it, how much money Trump has in his campaign advertising chest is meaningless.

I mean let's face it-it is not like introducing a new product on the market where lots of money is needed to get the word out

regarding the product so that people will hopefully buy it.

Conversely with Trump, after four years as POTUS and his antics of claiming that the 2020 Election was stolen from him,

which continues to this day, folks around the country know what Trump is about and have formed an overall opinion about

him which is not going to change because he or some other folks say some nice things about him on tv or the various media.

In short, unlike the new product I cited above, Trump is a KNOWN quantity, and no amount of money spent is going

to change the overall public perception of him in a positive way.

In fact and on the other hand, , the documented findings to come re: January 6th and his Trump's involvement

in it as well as the other legal matters facing him can and will have an impact on how people view him, and imo

it is going to be for the worse, in fact much worse!!

As I see it, if an intelligent and savvy politician was in Trump's shoes regarding his continuing steal claims of the Election, he would have said

something like this a long time ago:

"Look, folks, even though I feel very strongly in my heart that I won the Election no matter what the results say, the fact is that we cannot

change them as they are what they are.

"Therefore from this point on, I am going to concentrate all of my efforts to first winning the 2022 Elections and then

the 2024 PresidentialElection so that we can return it from the current mess under Joe Biden to the great one under my Administration."

Well it goes without saying that some of his hardcore supporters including the three Trumpsketeers in the thread would be disappointed

and view it as a sign of weakness, the overwhelming number of Republicans in the country and for that matter all people,

no matter what their political affiliation, would view it as very positive and indicate that Trump is really one of us.

Imo saying something like this would especially be in his favor re: independents/undecided who had/have been

previously been turned off by such immature antics as his continuing to whine, bitch and complain about the Election

results even 15 months after the Election.

As I see it, mature and responsible and objective folks have a sense of what is right and what is wrong, a lot of which

was instilled in them when they were children growing up.

I have to believe that doing what Trump has done for the last 15 months re: the Election Results does NOT fit into the set of values

with which they were raised.

Further, I firmly believe that what one is as person and what one is as a voter cannot be seen as separate entities and are intertwined.

In this instance I see most folks being strongly influenced as to how they perceive and view Trump as a human being

re; how they view him as a politician, with the former having a very negative effect on the latter.

In all honesty I can't see Trump doing something as I suggested because he is simply too arrogant/full of himself and concerted

to realize that sometimes that one has to act with practicality rather than to feed one's emotional and psychological needs!!

Speaking of "resigning," perhaps one Donald Trump should have "resigned"/resign from his wife or vice versa when screwing Stormy

Daniels and other ladies while married and for that matter some other ladies who he sexually abused including his own daughter,

Ivanka, when she was a young teenager or even possibly even younger!!!
