IMO the Ward Family is taking the wrong stand on this

They have my sympathy 100%. It was a terrible loss. A parent should never have to bury their child.

With that said, lashing out at every one they possibly can and pointing the fingers at others is wrong. I'm getting sick of reading letters/statements daily by his family attacking Stewart (I am not a tony stewart fan btw) and everyone else in arms reach. Ward never should have gotten out of his vehicle in the middle of a race. If he had stayed in his car after the wreck he would not be dead. That is a fact. The family should mourn their loss and remember their loved one but vehemently lashing out at people not responsible for their sons death will not bring him back.

I agree and hope I would try to be more positive in that situation, but also it is really tough to put myself in their shoes...heck I might be going vigilante if I lost a kid and thought someone was responsible and not being held accountable.

Ward was high, that is a fact, this should go away now...why didn't they test Tony?

Not going away at all for the Ward family. Some aunt released an attacking letter today even after the drug test. They have made it clear they are on a warpath. Wrong approach imho.

Stewart probably should have been tested. Not sure why that didn't happen

Being high, and having marijuana in your system are two different things.

And, either one of them is irrelevant to Stewart having committed a crime.

i was surprised to read they only needed 12 of 23 to move forward with a case and didn't get that...that is the main thing in my mind. must not have been much evidence of a crime?

"In New York, only 12 of the 23 grand jury members needed to agree that charges were warranted. The exact vote count in the Stewart case is not being released."

FWIW, the County DA said "the level of marijuana in Ward's system was high enough to impair judgment."

The should be angry at the kid for letting his emotions get the best of him. The accident was tragic, but he was just as much at fault as Stewart. You wanna make a name for yourself by fighting Tony Stewart then do it in the pits where there arent cars driving past you. I agree, I feel bad for the family, but they need to understand that their relative is dead because he was a fucking idiot. Sounds like one of those families where no matter what happens, its always someone elses fault

Which is a non-scientific standard, so simply an opinion. How does he know where Ward is impaired?

And, why is he announcing this piece of information at the same time he is announcing Stewart won't be charged? Sounds to me he is slandering the victim in order to sway public opinion in favor of not charging Stewart.

I didn't say he did. I said the marihuana in Ward's system is irrelevant to that determination.
OK.
I thought you had said something was "irrelevant to Stewart having committed a crime."

Right. Learn to read.

Ok, thanks

Two issues with a victim is irrelevant (meaning it had no bearing on) Tony "Stewart having committed a crime"

"What crime did Stewart commit?"

"I never said Stewart committed a crime"

"Officer, the sun being in my co-workers eyes had no relevance on him running that person over who was in the crosswalk"

"Your co-worker ran over somebody in the crosswalk?"

"No, I never said that,.... learn to read."
