Pisses me off when I see Oregon's defense doing all that "bending" but not "breaking." That's just a transparent as hell way to bullshit everyone who thinks they are mediocre and can't stop the pass, even when they had 3 (that's right THREE) future NFL dbacks starting for them on defense last year. Sheeeeeeit. Talk about a waste of talent! That's criminal!
I DO NOT WANT EXCUSES. WHAT I WANT IS THREE AND OUTS. PERIOD.
What's it gonna take for their DC (Alliotti) to hang up his cleats and retire? He must have 20 years tenure there. Time to retire with that nice check every month. He's in his late 60's, no? Shitty defensive game planning, absolute shit!. They have the superior athletes but this kind of crap ALWAYS happens. They were lucky as hell to dodge that bullet on Boise's first drive. And the second bullet too. HAH!
I'm getting a bit tired of listening to excuses -- why teams rack up 350 - 450 yards against them most of the time (if they are half-way decent) is for one reason and one reason only. Their DC is just plain shitty. They can't candy coat it forever with excuses and half-way senseless reasons. When the shell melts off, it tastes like pure shit inside.
Boise St.'s offense has no business pushing the Ducks around. Maybe the Ducks won't get run on a lot or often, but their secondary reminds me of Stanford last season. Stanford has the ONLY good excuse, that being lack of talent. The Ducks D is like a sieve past the line of scrimmage and it's for one reason and it has nothing to do with lack of talent like Stanford. Nick Alliotti just plain sucks as a DC. He has worked there far too long. When I heard that Chip Kelly and Nick Alliotti hit it off and became friends over the last 2 years, my heart literally sunk in my chest. I knew what was likely to happen. FUCK!
The Ducks are not out of this game because I think Masoli will hit his stride and their talented skill position offense will eventually assert itself. In the meantime, I just hope their D can dodge a few more bullets because it may take that to avoid playing catch up all night. SHIT! Can it be any easier than this for their opponents to play keep away! Not good.
So how do the offensive stats rate so far? Boise 150 yards, Oregon 35? Fuck. You want to beat Oregon, just play keep away... it's easy! Just tell 'em Nick sent you.
I hate to put it like this, but Oregon's football program has left Nick Alliotti biting the dust. He's just not good enough for them and he needs to go. I'm REALLY bored watching all the action happening down deep in the Duck's end of the field.
Grrrrrrrr.
