I'd take any one of the following over the Buckeyes and the crappy Big-10.

1) Texas Tech
2) Boise
3) TCU
4) Oklahoma St.
5) Georgia Tech

Hell, even Oregon is better than Ohio St. What a joke.

your vote doesn't matter. OSU would beat any of those teams, as would Penn St, and Iowa. Boise has been for a couple years and disappointed with crowds....Any BCS bowl would take OSUs revenue in a heartbeat, especially in these economic times!!

Iowa would beat Oklahoma State, Oregon, TTU, and BSU? Typical Big 10 homer.

I'll play realist for a second though. You ready for USC to destroy Penn State in every aspect of the game come Jan. 1? Hope you are.

I guess you call USC's beating of bottomfeeder UCLA a whipping? USC better step their game up if they want to beat Penn State...that is reality...

wait a minute, seriously we are going to bitch about OSU going to a BCS game and not even throw out the fact that #25 Va Tech is also going to a bcs game. #25 and quite possibly from a conference worse than the big 10.

Very good point but at least VT actually qualified for something unlike the crapeyes.

Perhaps if BSU would have the support of a team like Ohio State or Iowa, they would be headed to a BCS game.

As is, they would probably fare better if they dropped to the FCS level.

They right their own living will and testiment by belonging to a subpar conference that gets no respect east of Wall Drug.

I don't know how long you've been around but Bowls are about money. tOSU will get TV ratings and pack any stadium they are invited to. They'd fill up Aloha Stadium if need be.
It's a no-brainer that they are the at-large bid.
They travel as well as any in the country.

Another example: If ND would have beaten 'Cuse, there was a strong possibility they could have been invited to the Cotton Bowl, over a much better team such as Ole Miss. Why not, if i ran the Cotton I'd tell hotels to raise their rates if ND fans were coming to town more than if Ole Miss fans were, over charge 5% moref or everything, you'd get it.
ND pulls more ratings than an Ole Miss would and they blow.

Bowls have nothing to do with record or ranking.
alot of people do not get this.

I used to love bowl season. Now I find it to be most boring and annoying part of college football.

Then just bet on Texas if you think OSU shouldn't be there.

And see how you do...

Thats because the games don't mean anything. In Postseasons in other sports, you win and advance. Bowl season is nothing more then a showcase for recruiting. Bowl season is the most overrated thing in sports next to " Dan Patrick radio show " and the medias use of the word " Unbelievable "

could not agree more. Now imagine what the atmosphere would be like for college fb playoff's. Would be way ahead of any other sporting event's out there, yes even the nfl would be second...
