Very good points about taking the "near gimme" FG with much more time left on the clock.

over a 3 dime swing to me on the fcuking total tonight but i'm not as pissed that it went over as i am about the terrible fcuking strategy that led to the total coming in. if you need two fcuking scores does it really matter the order in which you get them? i would not be nearly as pissed had they kicked the fcuking fg with 1:30 or so and gone for the onside kick, basic shit here people.

I wouldve went for it Teazeman. Like I said, it helped tonight.......Herm Edwards did this too me a month or so ago, and recently his dumb ass doesnt even attempt FG's, which has also cost me money........hmmmmm is there a trend here?

Anyways, If I am the coach, my thinking is this. Im down 10 or 11. I need a TD and FG. If I am inside the 20 (in this case inside the 10), and it is 4th down and short I am going for the TD. Each circumstance is different. THe reasoning for this one was simple though..

It was 4th and 1 inside the 5. You are already at the endzone. Time was at a premium. If they go for it and score, now 1-2 passes after the onside kick puts them in FG range. If they kicked the FG there then recovered the onside kick, they very well may have run out of time trying to score the TD in this particular situation.

Also it made no sense to go for the first 4th and 1 then lay up on the second 4th and 1 and kick the FG. Had they kicked the FG the first time, then recovered the onisde kick they wouldve had enough time to score a TD. Just my 2 cents.

complete fuckin morons. If you get a touchdown, all you have to do is recover the onside and kick a long FG.

agreed, fcuking dumbest shit i've ever seen. joe q public pulled that over out of it's ass, of course they'll spout about how they "capped it correctly" till the fcuking cows come home.

Considering there were three missed FG's earlier in the game, I needed a break. Worst thing for the under bettors were the two qb's getting hurt since neither are very good.

Did anyone see the onside kick? It touched nobody and went right thru the legs of Sellers...a quick Bear on the outside racing down the sidelines could have maybe snatched it and kept running down the sidelines...

I had 40 with my local so I was avtually happy about it as I was on Wash and under and I will take a win and a push rather than a chance at a 0 and 2.

The kicking team can't advance an onside kick ... the return team can.

Kicking team can't advance an onside kick, so they would have got the ball where it was recovered.

I didn't have the total (Just 'Skins) so it didn't effect me.

It did make a difference kicking the FG vs going for the TD if you had Wash like myself. If they had gone for the TD and a 2 point conversion we would have pushed. This way it was a win for us.
