I prefer Danks to lilly, generally I like the cubs to wsox but their bats are absolutly on fire right now and Cubs just got blitzed in TB, both teams have winning records vs lefties but i notice Chisox are 5-1 vs NL left handed starters, going with the price play

Cubbies had a long flight home from TB and Sox just had a short drive across town. Love the Sox in this one for a number of reasons. I'm with you!

In the last six games the White Sox have scored 45 runs.

In the last six games for the Cubs they've scored 24 runs.

In the last 6 games the White Sox have won 4.

In the last 6 games for the Cubs they've won 2 games.

In the last 6 games the White Sox have out scored thier opponents by 23 runs. (games they've won out of the six)

In the last 6 games the Cubs have out scored thier opponents in thier two wins by 7.

I'm on the White Sox, and yes I went with the +1.5 for -170 for some insurance, during this in town rival game.

Hope these stats help. White Sox are hot right now. Cubs cold.

Long flights and lay overs typically only effect the team the second day. Adrenaline alone gets them throught the first game. Remember the Angels vs. the Wsox in the playoffs? The angels played the play in game the night before and arrived in Chicago at 4:30 am for a 1:00 game. That was the only game the Angels won in that series and the only game the Wsox lost in the entire playoffs.

Wind is light at approximately 10mph. Let's not get wacky now. Lilly keeps the ball down?!!! Where do you get your info from? His groundball to flyball ratio is .55. That's not exactly keeping the ball down.

Lilly is primarilly a curve ball pitcher. Curve ball pitchers tend to force more ground balls then fly balls. Your look at his last 5 starts. Look at the career numbers, .562-.438

2 hours is not a long flight, plus they go back an hour with the time change. it's a non-event. betting against the cubs at home is a fools game, like trying to pick the top in oil.

raining on and off here, so who knows if it will start on time or if the starters will make it past the first rain delay.

The stats I gave you were for this year. His last 3 games is not much better (.73). Who cares about his career numbers?! What's important is his current form and he's not keeping the ball down lately. His home ERA over the last 3 starts is not that great either. He gave up 3 runs in 6.2 innings vs. Atlanta, 7 runs in 3 innings versus Colorado, and 4 runs in 6 innings versus SD. In addition, the Chisox' bullpen is #1 in the AL. and the current available have an ERA of .92 versus the Cubs 9.55 in the last 3. I think you're kidding yourself if you think this is some sort of lock. My advice to people would be to either pass on the game or go Chisox.

The one plus for the over is McLeland umping this game. 13-3 on the over with a strike percentage of 61.58%.
