I had never watched this game before, but I can't say that either of the players really impressed me in this game.

I haven't seen it Indians, what's it about?

It's the 1979 National Championship. Its called MAGIC VS BIRD like it was this big epic battle. They have players from the teams giving analysis of the game basically talking about how good the players are. Neither Magic nor Bird played very good.

no shot clock and no three point line back then. Add those and it would have been a much more intertaining game. Pre shot clock it wasn't uncommon for teams to hold the ball for the final 3 or 4 minutes and play for the last shot of a tie game, I remember seeing highlights of a Big 8 game in the early 80's where a team held the ball for the final 8 minutes to play for the last shot, my goodness talk about boring to watch.

You want boring? Check out Princeton's box four and one from a few decades ago.

i remember in middle school people having either those black and white Converse or the purple, yellow and white Converse, or the Bird or Magic shoe. That was a big rivalry back then, between the actual players and teams, and people and kids who were fans of one or the other. And some had the Air Jordan's that just came out, me, i had the high top Keds.
