The coach is not UConns problem their problem is a real conference doesnt want them and they are stuck in a conference with Houston, SMU, Central Flordia, Memphis and so on. What big time player would want to play in that mess?

we never once recruited "a big time player" (literally), although we put several lesser recruits into the NFL

of course coaching makes a difference, not sure how anyone can argue otherwise. Do you watch any games?

I watch a lot of games UConn will always have a mediocre at best football program just get use to it. All of the real conferences told them they didn't want them so why would a good coach want to go there. Just be happy to win 6 games a year then go to a meaning less bowl game enjoy those road trips to SMU and Tulsa.

I know how you feel man. I'm the biggest UNC football fan on the planet. Going from Mack Brown to Carl Torbush, and then to John Bunting, I was on suicide watch for about 10 years. Butch had us on our way until the NCAA witch hunt, but I have high hopes for Fedora in the long term despite the beatdown in Columbia last night.

The point is, I understand what it's like to be a huge football fan of a "basketball school". Hopefully, you guys can get a good coach in there and excel
