The United States is ofcourse an ethnically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse nation. Our mixed-up demography is unconsciously understood and is discussed at great length in public forums throughout our country. Actually, I personally believe our diversity will prove to be the SOLE saving grace of our place of preeminence in the global hierarchy of nations. Yet, there is a dark and pervasive truth that exists in our great land, isn't there, that involves how so many of us look at our neighbors, the guy in line in front of us at the grocery store, or beside us on the expressway. We are a mixed-up nation, but we really don't quite blend well do we?
I say that the biggest "issue" of all in this race for the presidency is indeed the concept of race. It's not Obama the human being versus Mccain the human being to so many "lefties", "righties", "indys", or "undecidies". It's a white man against a black man. It's "Obama sounds like Osama." It's, "is this guy really catholic or a closet muslim?" It is rich, white, elitist, run-away capitalists in their golf carts praying to the Almighty...."Please don't let this N-I-.-.-E-R win this election." It's soccer moms and NASCAR dads exclaiming, "What is this world coming to when a false christian N-I-.-.-E-R might become president?"
My sincere hope is that in my lifetime that so many people (not all mind you) in this country will wake up and stop listening to "mummy 'n' deddy", the preacher-man, or subliminal messages from Fox News and the like, and start listening to their own inner voices of reasonability, rationality, decency, and conscience. Wake up and smell the coffee America....before it's too late to turn back. We shall never falter as a nation, I promise you, if we stand together...truly united...dissolve our differences...and lead a unified front against tyranny, oppression, and rampant corruption that continues to poison this Great nation of ours.......Godspeed Mr. Obama!

That is what I think as well, 422!! I think the ONLY arguments you hear from the Righties are this:
1) He's a Muslim
2) He's a RADICAL Christian
and/or
3) When he reaches across the isle, "HE'S NOT protecting the Liberal Ideals you guys cling so close to!"

Why not just say what you mean, and that's that he is a bleeding-heart NI**ER that you people are afraid will cut into your rich kids future BMW CA$H payout by possibly CONSIDERING the rest our situations in the middle class and watching out for OUR interests for a few years!! The elite in this country have PROSPERED, like Fat-Cats, off of the last 8 years of the Bush Monarch, while the rest of us lose homes, and struggle to pay gas to get to/fro work @ jobs that won't pay our bills anyway while PRICE$ go up on EVERYTHING and the shitty paychecks stay the same!! It's time we had OUR TIME, and it's coming this fall!!

Lets add stressing Hussein as a middle name and playing coy as if "there's nothing wrong with it". Ok. Well if there's nothing wrong with it asshole then why the fuck are you saying Hussien louder than Obama or Barack? And btw...I don't recall seeing a potential 1st lady become so vetted as if she's running her damn self. Conjuring up reasons to label her racist?? Fucking how man?? LOL. And the whole "First Time In My Life To Be Proud" bullshit? Are you kidding me? The problem is that we've come to accept this as political strategy and norm. Make a mountain out of a molehill if you will. What gets me though is how righty's scream at holler when you bring up race as an issue or moreso identify that indeed racism is a factor in the political strategy. Gimmie a break already how can you be so naive? Or moreso be a man and admit it is racist instead of bullshitting and hiding behind politics as an excuse.

U know, I think I'll change my middle name to Hussein. Btw...what was wrong with what Michelle Obama said anyway about being proud for the 1st time in her adult life?

It's All About Obama

By KARL ROVE
June 26, 2008; Page A13

Many candidates have measured the Oval Office drapes prematurely. But Barack Obama is the first to redesign the presidential seal before the election.
His seal featured an eagle emblazoned with his logo, and included a Latin version of his campaign slogan. This was an attempt by Sen. Obama to make himself appear more presidential. But most people saw in the seal something else – chutzpah – and he's stopped using it. Such arrogance – even self-centeredness – have featured often in the Obama campaign.

Consider his treatment of Jeremiah Wright. After Rev. Wright repeated his anti-American slurs at the National Press Club, Mr. Obama said their relationship was forever changed – but not because of what he'd said about America. Instead, Mr. Obama complained, "I don't think he showed much concern for me."
Translation: Rev. Wright is an impediment to my ambitions. So, as it turns out, are some of Mr. Obama's previous pledges.
For example, Mr. Obama has said he "strongly supported public financing" and pledged to take federal funds for the fall, thereby limiting his spending to roughly $84 million. Now convinced he can raise more than $84 million, he reversed course last week, ditching the federal money and its limits. But by discarding his earlier pledge so easily, he raises doubts about whether his word can be trusted.
Last month he replied "anywhere, anytime" to John McCain's invitation to have joint town hall appearances. Last week he changed his mind. Fearing 10 impromptu town halls, Mr. Obama parried the invitation by offering two such events – one the night of July 4, when every ambulatory American is watching fireworks or munching hotdogs, and another in August. His spokesman then said, "Take it or leave it." So much for "anywhere, anytime."

My former White House colleague Yuval Levin pointed out that Mr. Obama, in his first national TV ad rolled out Friday, claims credit for having "extended health care for wounded troops," citing the 2008 defense authorization. That bill passed 91-3 – but Mr. Obama was one of only six senators who didn't show up to vote. This brazen claim underscores the candidate's thin résumé and, again, his chutzpah.
Mr. Obama has now also played the race card, twice suggesting in recent weeks that Republicans will draw attention to the fact that he's black. Who is unaware of that? Americans overwhelmingly find it a hopeful, optimistic sign that the country could elect an African-American president. But they rightly want to know what kind of leader he might be. They may well reject as cynical any maneuver to discourage close examination of him by suggesting any criticism is racially motivated.
The candidate's self-centeredness has been on display before. Having effectively sewed up the Democratic nomination, he could have agreed to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations (states Hillary Clinton had carried). While reducing his lead by 50 to 55 delegates, it would not have altered the outcome. But Mr. Obama supported cutting these battleground-state delegations in half. At a time when magnanimity was called for, the candidate decided he'd strut.
Mr. Obama's alpha-male attitude was evident even as he stumbled towards and over the primary finish line. First, his campaign announced in May it was talking to Patti Solis Doyle after Sen. Clinton fired her as campaign manager. This served only to pour salt in the Clintons' wounds.
Then, after the primaries ended June 3, Mr. Obama's campaign leaked word that Leon Panetta (a Clinton supporter who'd apparently angered the Clintons by persistent criticism of their performance) and Ms. Doyle would conduct its outreach to the Clinton camp. Ms. Doyle was named chief of staff to the as-yet-to-be-chosen vice presidential running mate. All this was pointless, but reveals a disposition certain to manifest itself in other ways.
Mr. McCain will be helped if he uses Mr. Obama's actions to paint his opponent as someone driven by an all-powerful instinct to look out only for himself. In a contest over who is willing to put principle above personal ambition and self-interest, John McCain, a war hero and a former POW, wins hands down. That may not be the most important issue to voters in electing a president, but it's something they will rightly take into account.
Mr. Rove is the former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush.

The Right on this board and at FOX NEWS along with Coulter and Limbaugh are showing very clearly that their hatred for folks with Black Skin is equal to their hatred for folks with brown skin

Look at the posts on this board daily .... My God ... tell me that Jefferson, Willie99, King, ASU Fan, Pat Patriot, Darwinian and Redneckman would not be all smiles and high fiving others if they could find a black man to nail to a cross and burn that individual alive

The GOP used to stand for a Political Party ... not anymore as the KKK belief system has taken over all viewpts associated with hatred toward African Americans

Walter Storch, editor of the Barnes Review News reported three weeks ago that "Karl Rove was seen by one of my people entering a private homosexual orgy at a five-star Washington hotel over the Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL) weekend last year." [2004]

A Barnes reporter told Storch that "Karl greatly enjoyed the supervision of a certain hairy 350-lb. Leather Dominator who had won the Miss Virginia Daddy Bear title at the MAL festivities."

Storch wrote, "Karl used to hang out a JR’s, which is on 17th between P & S streets, before he became so well-known. This is a respectable gay bar for discreet people...," adding, "there is an expensive apartment...over near Dupont Circle that certain powerful senators take turns visiting with their pickups."

In The Architect, a new book chronicling Karl Rove's life and conservative agenda, authors James Moore and Wayne Slater, reveal Rove's father, Louis Rove, was homosexual.

Louis Rove left his family during the 1969 Christmas holidays and moved to Los Angeles where he eventually "came out." According to Rove's father's best friend, an openly gay man named Joseph Koons, "Louie didn't hide the fact that he was gay. But he didn't play it up either." The Architect describes Louis Rove as a shy man, encumbered by his three hundred pound figure. To encourage Rove to socialize, Joseph Koons, invited him to join a retired gay men's group called the "Old Farts Club," jokingly referred to among the men as the "Rainbow Casket."

Karl Rove frequently visited his father in the 1980s. Joseph Koons said he didn't sense "any great tension" between Karl and his father.
Rove keeps a photograph of his father on his White House desk and has remarked to reporters that his father "lived life exactly the way he wanted to live it."

From an article on Common Dreams.

Karl Rove's grandfather was Karl Heinz Roverer, the Gauleiter of Oldenburg. Roverer was Reich-Statthalter---Nazi State Party Chairman---for his region. He was also a partner and senior engineer in the Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurburo A. G. engineering firm, which built the Birkenau death camp, at which tens of thousands of Jews, Gypsies, dissidents and other were slaughtered en masse.

Rove sounds like a closet Obama fan boy. Like Bill Orielly.
I love this clip he sounds like a heart broken groupie.
"Hey senator, a word please! We came all the way up to see you!"
