I'm going to remove my Obama bias away from this post.

I already voted for him last week. I think its important to remember that no President McCain or Obama can solve our problems. What's hopefully done is the President gets the nation more encouraged to make better lives for themselves. We have been on the decline for years. Righties will automatically come in here and say it's the Dems, the left will say Bush. We've been on the downfall because we've been primarily entranced into the media, the so called dumbing down of America.

I mentioned before in my other post, the average american watches 7 hours of television per day.

You idiots will go back and forth all day saying all the countries problems are because of the dems or bush. The problem is the dumbing down of the country and being expected to be given a sense of entitlement.

Half my graduating class is working at Target for 10 hr, hoping they can get some kick backs under a Obama or McCain presidency. I told them get a grant or scholarship like I did, go to graduate school and pursue a profitable career.

Americans are too complacent and blame everybody else but themselves for there problems. All your going to get with Obama or McCain as a president are 2 different flavors of blame.

You already got guys on here playing the blame game before a president is even elected. If these guys did something, then maybe they would be better off. Don't give me the policies rhetoric either. It's all about complacency and the lack of parenting. That cannot be blamed on Obama or McCain, that blame all lies on the American citizens shoulders.

The two pressing issues to me are how they handle military and how the handle the working middle class.

Obama is the clear run away winner for the working middle class.

McCain is the clear run away winner for the upper class

Iraq / Afghanistan / Iran we can debate for days. Whoever spends less of our money / troops lives there I am all for it.

Obama and McCain are the clear runaway winners for the international banking elite. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

oh yes and 1 more thing. McCain stating he wanted to stop gambling on college sports (my favorite to gamble on, especially the bowl games and big dance). Which is a vote in Obama's corner who says he occasionally enjoys online poker.

This is so stupid and belongs as another example on John Stossel's "Too dumb to vote" show.

Don't know where you work, but I make $35k-40k/year for a medium-sized company. Whether I like it or not, I'm in bed with this company (as is every private sector worker with their company). Raising taxes on my employer and taking money out of their corporate coffers will do grave harm on the middle class.

Barack Obama is going to be disasterous to this economy. We're going to see Jimmy Carter-era unemployment rates.

Bah.. Why am I wasting my time with you. You aren't smart enough to understand any of this, evidenced by the post I quoted.

Do you have a link on your last statement, Rob? You're right about McCain, but I think you're mistaken about Obama. He occasionally enjoys POKER, but I never read or heard anything about him playing online.

He is very non-committal when it comes to legalizing gambling. And his voting record in the Illinois Senate bespeaks an aversion to it.

How can you guys take seriously anything from someone who
utterly idolizes Che Guevara?

Serious Question?

WTF?

MY mistake. I don't know where I got the online part from. Error on my part.

excerpt:

It’s unlikely we’ll learn more about Barack Obama’s position about online gaming during the presidential debates or stump speeches down the home stretch of the campaign. As unemployment climbs, the economy slows, and banks collapse, there are admittedly bigger fish to fry. But if the candidate’s online gambling position is paramount to you as a voter, consider that you have a special lens with which to view Obama’s stance; he is, after all, a poker player.

As a state senator, Obama was a regular in the Illinois legislature’s weekly low stakes poker game, held at the headquarters of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. According to his opponents, Obama studied the game and knew the odds. His play was focused and analytical, and his friends claim he seldom bluffed."

He said that? I highly doubt it.

Got proof ?

In addition. I had read a few articles that stated Obama would be less hesitant in repealing UIGEA, since Joe Biden's son is lobbying for online gambling.
