In their rookie years:
Peyton Manning in had a QB rating of 71.2 and threw 28 picks.
Were you calling him a bust?
In his rookie year (first full year)
Drew Brees had a QB rating of 76.9 and threw 17 picks.
Were you calling him a bust?
And Phil Simms had a worse rookie year than Sanchez.
How'd his career work out?
Will Sanchez be as successful as Manning and the rest?
Maybe, probably not, point is, most superstar QB's have had shaky first yeats, why not give him some time, but then again, you are always right.
It's funny when people rip on Manning's rookie season as if it was so terrible.
He took every single snap that year on a team that went 3-13 and set rookie passing records. Threw 26 TD's yet everyone praised RG 42 rookie season and he threw 20. This was 1998 too before everyone had 4,000 yard passing seasons. He threw a shitload of picks because he was throwing it downfield because the Colts were always losing. Not like he walked in with a Ben Roethlisberger team.
