Indiana has looked bad past two games and now with QB questionable can Illinois cover here? I see where Indiana played it close and lost by 9 at Minnesota which is a team that beat Illinois last weekend. I also see where Indiana lost to Michigan State by 12. I am looking at the past 2 games where Indiana has only scored 7 and 9 points with all points being in the first half. I want to bet Illinois here. Thoughts please

I'm a long-time Hoosier fan (I can remember my Dad taking me to games and distinctly remember seeing Marcus Allen trounce us and talking about "that guy is pretty good")

The Hoosiers look snake-bit this year. They can't get any pressure on the QB and can't stop the run consistently. Lewis has a high ankle sprain which makes me believe he won't play anytime soon. I won't touch either side because emotions tend to blind me, but I think Illinois is the right side.

I think Illinois is the play here becuase 1st off when they play against teams that can't stop the run, they usually cruise. Juice should pick up 1st downs at will with his feet and that could really open up a vertical passing game that is looking really good. Kelen lewis will be playing with a high ankle sprain and he will be the only thing the Illini need to worry about.

The Illini defense has played better the last 2 games but will still give up a big play here and there. In the loss against the Gophers last week turnovers and special teams accounted for 17 of the Gophers 24 points.

Special teams is the only reason I would be worried about Illinois since they give short fields to the oposition but Indiana doesn't have the offense to take advantage of it.

Gotta like Illinois coming off a heart breaking loss playing the worst team in the Big 10. I have also been fading Indiana most of the year and their dismal play has yet to let me down. :drink:

Ill. is the play infact I think its a lock. IU is so bad this year I doubt they can cover yet alone win the rest of the year. Ill. just had an upset lose to Minn. So they will be looking to put up big number on both sides.
