Several times I've hit Illini with a wind-up and quiet frankly, have been a bit alarmed at his response. Although coming across as a very nice person, he does seem to buy into what people say and take them literally. He is not going to be molly-coddled in Vegas or anywhere else like he does on here and I hope he gets a mean streak in a hurry, he will need it.

I did the same thing in early 90's when I was very young---I got off active-duty at Ft. Sill, OK, drove to Vegas with $5k savings and everything I owned in a Nissan Sentra. Bet on sports, counted cards and played poker for 6 mos, until the $5k ran out. I rented a week-by-week apartment on Paradise Rd. that is now the location of Terribles. It was both the best (freedom, non-stop feeding the addiction and made lots of seedy friends whom I will never forget) and worst (gained 20 lbs that I never took off, inhaled a lifetime of smoke, turned into a nocternal vampire and got damn lonely) time of my life.

the 3rd best decision of his life was not meeting me at derby lanes last week. those guys are sharp poker players. i got handled. not at all like vegas. suckers all over that town. in the poker room at the tampa dog track, they all know each other and they are good. plus, the house takes 30% of the pot! no thanks.

seeing corey lidle was the only benefit. even though he looks like a fat softball player.
