No doubt about that, he's made some nice throws and avoided the INT. He's getting some big plays. K St not able to pressure, 8.3 YPP has to be a concern for K St.

He takes way way way too long on the release, but I will agree there. It's like picking which bruised apple is better.

Passing TD's were great runs after the catch for K State...Freeman not very impressive. Time will tell if he's over-hyped or if it's Louisville's D....Ron English is g00t; I wish Michigan would've kept him

The only thing he's going to have to correct when or if he gets to the NFL is that windup release. It takes a tenth of second too long, which will cost him a sack in the pros. A good QB coach can probably cure that.

Go Sooners, who do you think is the QB in college that is most ready for the NFL game? There are 2 starting this year in Ryan and Flacco....who will it be next year?

Mark Sanchez without a doubt. I think if Rudy Carpenter had a better supporting cast at ASU he would put up some big numbers.

Thanks....I love Stafford, but I am incredibly fearful that he is the next Jeff George. His head is much better, but he's not ready and I hope he returns.

Sanchez is great, and no doubt ready for the NFL, but Stafford is the most ready in my mind. The kid is absolutely outstanding. I can't get over how impressive this guy is. He doesn't put up huge stats so he doesn't get the love from most average college fans, but the kid can make all the throws and has a good head on his shoulders. He's the ideal size for a QB and is mobile enough to escape the pressure when he needs to. He still has a few things to work on, one of them being able to pick up the blitz and where it's coming from regularly, but that's something that will come with time.

Sanchez is great, but Stafford is special. Best QB I've seen coming out of college since at least Carson Palmer, maybe even further back.

As for the comparison in this thread, I'm not a fan of either. The defenses were poor in this game and Cantwell had the edge of actually having a running game. They outran KSU by 273 yards. That is ridiculous. Hard to lose with a stat like that, and hard to look bad as a QB.

When Freeman had a Jordy Nelson and a better overall supporting cast of skill players he was deadly. So I know it wasn't just him. Freeman and his new WR's weren't quite on the same page. I would lay money that 3 or 4 weeks up the line KSU will look like a different team. Offensively anyway. Their defense has MUCH work to do. It looked tonight like problems leftover from last season. Poor tackling and not being physical enough.

OTK,

Don't tell me you said something positive about UGA!?!?!

I like Bartoli tonight, but I think it already started.
