there is no telling with either of these teams. sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. i'm with mighty vol, last year looked sweet too, and the vols got thumped bigger than they ever have in a bowl game---- and it was to maryland, how embarrasing.
Clausen is excellent on the road, but sux in bowl games. The paper today says that the vols are having good full contact workouts, with a few skirmishes breaking out. Fulmer likes this and thinks that it is a sign that they are ready play and hit somebody.
This could be an easy play on the vols. Those liking the vols should only bet an average amount. Both teams have finished strong at the end of the season. The vols are ranked sixth nationally and got passed over for the Capital One bowl and the Outback bowl, not to mention a possible BCS birth. The Peach bowl normally goes to the fifth ranked SEC team, and the vols are 6th in the country. Clemson and their fans are a lot more excited than the vol fans and will have just as many , if not more fans in atlanta. They sold their allotment quickly.
There is rule here in knoxville -- don't bet for or against the vols. cuz they'll screw you.
I think that this game will be one of the more exciting games of the bowl season.
I like the vols, but see rule above
