It was Great seeing some of the guys again, it's been too long since the last time getting together

also great finally meeting Hache Man after working with him the past 9 years

Had a Blast, and the craps tables were very good on the trip
felt bad that VD couldn't get his money out of his pocket fast enough, even though I held the dice for 25 minutes :)

Thank you goes out to SBR for putting it all together, they really do a Great job and something the RX has never done before
I know this wasn't the normal regular Bash, but it was by far a Great Event and those guys at SBR work their butts off
It's a whole production with the Stage, Videos , Guests and everything else.

It was great meeting the SBR crew and SBR Lou, SBR Drew and especially SBR John

Thank you for having us and making our RX posters feel like Family

How were the presentations by Clay Travis and Jason Whitlock?

I listened to that one and the one with Jim Fassel.

That one was decent, Clay Travis seemed to actually have opinions about the subject, like he actually knew where he was and what the audience wanted to hear discussed. Whitlock was pretty annoying for most of it, just didn't have much to say besides your typical generic sports media hot takes that are better reserved for twitter. Also, Whitlock without a suit and makeup on looked pretty rough. Dude needs to lose a few pounds or he is going to die soon.

The Jim Fassel 1 sucked because when you get someone of that pedigree on the panel that doesn't really have much interest/knowledge in the subject, the other two guys basically have to blow him/revolve/include him in discussion the entire time. On the first page of this thread, it says Warren Sharp (1 of the sharpest guys to follow when it comes to NFL, not sure if his last name is a stage name or not) was advertised to be in the discussion but he wasn't there.

How were the presentations by Clay Travis and Jason Whitlock?

I thought Travis was a good listen , but it was Jason Whitlock that I got to speak to one on one after the show
I reached out to him because of what he said about the kneeling going on in the NFL.

He meant everything he said on stage and was even more Real off the stage. Had like a 15 minute conversation with him, mostly on the subject
I never really thought it that way where he said that the NFL has given many many Black kids a chance to make Millions of dollars , as I never made it out as a Black thing ( I never used the words ) but we all know it was.

He told me that the players shouldn't be doing it in their uniform and on the JOB.
There were a few other things he talked about, but I'll leave that between us.

I thought the Fassel one was ok, teddy was ok, but not a fan. Marc Lawrence was right on the money and came with Stats to back up what he had to say.

I would have liked to hear Warren Sharp but he was stuck in NY and didn't make it.

The 3rd day was one of the best, I like hearing from the Vegas bookmakers and get some of their thoughts on the industry

Gabe Morency was entertaining, and boy does he Love his Buffalo Bills ......

They just kept blowing Fassel the entire time.

"Jim in 1997 you guys won the turnover battle by 26!"

"Jim, you were undefeated ATS as a home dog!"

Also, they indulged Fassel on talking about how early season turnover differential can be a predictor/extrapolated to how teams will be in that category all year. Which for the most part isn't really true.

They basically had to water down the conversation because they had a credentialed former NFL coach on the stage and you can't really challenge/debate him. This happens at roundtables a lot when someone is highly credentialed and kinda "Gracing the audience with their presence" so to speak, it's nothing new. Pretty common dynamic.

Agree on the bookie 1 though, that was pretty good. That's a harder job than people think, just so many eyeballs on those lines now thanks to the internet/analytics. Think in the long-term limits on in-game wagering will be low since there is no way to move on air if all the bets are coming in simultaneously (something they touched on), unless it is just done via exchange and the platform takes commission.

Met some good people at the bash, but sorry I didn't connect with any of the RX forum guys. Will need to make more of an effort to do so next time. Had some video, and some future's wagering to do in town so only saw half of the panel presentations. Had offline discussions with some of the panelists that went into greater strategic detail. Like the panel with Chris Andrews (South pt.) the best, honest and good guys. Had briefly met Tony Miller the day before and liked his thinking as to what's next.

Overall, very well done. Dinner was excellent and the GN rooms were good. Working hard on my NFL previews now. Good luck to all this football season.
