I know nothing about racing but I always have a good time. I've gone up to the one in Charlotte for the past couple of years. The tailgate is always a good time plus you can bring your own beer into the race.

Might as well if you have the opportunity to.

I went to Texas motor speedway once, sat on the finish line. It sucked....can't talk to anybody cause its too loud, don't know what the hell is going on (if your like me and don't follow it).

I would go out there to camp out and party the week before the race. I have heard that is fun as shit

NASCAR events are fun for camping, partying, and tailgating. The event itself is somewhat boring, and I am a racer myself if that tells you anything. I enjoy the local dirt track 10x more than a NASCAR track, even when I'm not racing.

But, yes GO, if you get the chance. Why not attend the World's Largest Sporting Event just to say you did if nothing else.

to me when they took nascar from a local level to the mainstream national type of viewer it kill this sport, too many races on tv and heck they race like 11 months a year, the big money took over all the teams and with 5 drivers on each team it seems, it just not nascar any longer.more like the boring indy type cars...they should end the season around labor day as imo they race too long into the season..with college football and nfl, not too many cares about cars going in a circle after labor day.

Nothing like being at a NASCAR race....Television doesn't do it justice.First track I ever went to was ''The monster mile'' In Dover Delaware.Sitting in the stands looking down at the that banked track was awesome....And as a bonus my boy Tony Stewart, took the checkered.

Go to speed week and the twin 125s and the truck race I would pass on the 500 if Micky Waltrip can win there or Danacrash is not 10 laps down you know the racing sucks

I've never liked nascar. However, in college, a lot of my good friends loved it. They had gone to Talladega a few years in a row so I finally tailed along one year. I had a blast. But, it was fun because we were drinking, camping, and hanging out with 10 of my best friends for 3 days prior to the real race. Sunday came and I thought the race itself was pretty boring. Still glad I went. Considering I'm about 8 years older now, I can't imagine ever going back though.

My brother went with friends to Daytona the year Dale sr died... He said it was a great weekend and then the tragedy happened.. Said it was a very sad scene... He's not a NASCAR fan but swears it was great... He's been to Talladega several time since

Quite a few years ago Stopped in at Dover to check out the harness track , the new casino and OTB. NASCAR guys were there for their time trials. Loud is not even close to describing those cars and this was only one at a time CARS. Needless to say, you could hardly even see the harness track inside the car track but had to say, the cars' sheer speed was AWESOME! I was very impressed and never forgot it!

If you go with the right people and have the right mindset, you will not regret going and you will probably want to go to another one.

I'm a fan but one of the funniest lines I heard is when Chris Rock said "if I wanted to watch a NASCAR race, I would just flush a pack of Skittles down the toilet"

I guess I can look this up but would it be possible to go around the track somehow or get lessons 1 time?

I've always wanted to try racing

1 of the funniest line I've heard and I think it was Bill Maher who said it was "They wanna put all these rules in NASCAR, what would NASCAR be with rules?

I've actually done this one and will be doing it again at Charlotte this Summer. My Ole lady will be doing the ride along. If you keep your eyes on Groupon,LS, or look for one, you can normally find a half off for the website posted. I recommend doing the 5 or 8 min drive session and a ride along. Hope you get to do it one day soon. Enjoy.
