Quite a few years ago Stopped in at Dover to check out the harness track , the new casino and OTB. NASCAR guys were there for their time trials. Loud is not even close to describing those cars and this was only one at a time CARS. Needless to say, you could hardly even see the harness track inside the car track but had to say, the cars' sheer speed was AWESOME! I was very impressed and never forgot it!Nothing like being at a NASCAR race....Television doesn't do it justice.First track I ever went to was ''The monster mile'' In Dover Delaware.Sitting in the stands looking down at the that banked track was awesome....And as a bonus my boy Tony Stewart, took the checkered.
NASCAR events are fun for camping, partying, and tailgating. The event itself is somewhat boring, and I am a racer myself if that tells you anything. I enjoy the local dirt track 10x more than a NASCAR track, even when I'm not racing.
But, yes GO, if you get the chance. Why not attend the World's Largest Sporting Event just to say you did if nothing else.
If you go with the right people and have the right mindset, you will not regret going and you will probably want to go to another one.
I'm a fan but one of the funniest lines I heard is when Chris Rock said "if I wanted to watch a NASCAR race, I would just flush a pack of Skittles down the toilet"
I guess I can look this up but would it be possible to go around the track somehow or get lessons 1 time?
I've always wanted to try racing
Yes!

I've actually done this one and will be doing it again at Charlotte this Summer. My Ole lady will be doing the ride along. If you keep your eyes on Groupon,LS, or look for one, you can normally find a half off for the website posted. I recommend doing the 5 or 8 min drive session and a ride along. Hope you get to do it one day soon. Enjoy.
