Begin drawing down our troop levels in Iraq until they were all out.
Immediately close down our military bases across the globe, bring the troops home and build bases along our northern and southern borders to prevent illegal entry.
Dramatically reduce taxes and ensure that everyone above the poverty line pays their fair share.
Scrap the current prison system and rebuild it from the ground up. Treat drug addiction like the disease that it is instead of a crime. Put away those who are a danger to society(pedos, killers, sex criminals) into permanent warehouse style solitary confinement with no access to the outside and no benefits like cable tv, weights, etc. forever.
Mandatory 2 year military service upon graduation from High School for everyone.
Expedite the process for legal immigrants, but put severe restrictions on immigrants from unfriendly countries or regions.
Provide a tax rate of 0% for all eternity to the company or individual (and their heirs) who develops an engine that doesn't run on fossil fuels.
Use this technology to eventually reduce our oil imports to zero.
Disband all labor unions.
Provide free and quality health care to all citizens and legal immigrants.
Begin paying off the national debt and make it a crime for government to spend more than they have.
No free rides for anyone.

Well, I am glad you realize this kind of agenda could only be accomplished with a benevolent dictatorship. Unfortunately, history shows dictators don't stay benevolent very long. *sigh*
Note: I only would advocate a benovolent dictatorship in order to preserve the constitutional rights and liberty for all our citizens (negative rights). I do NOT advocate a benovolent dictatorship for the purpose of creating "positive rights" (secular "progressive" values).

It's not a 'disease'...it's the highest form of selfishness a person can possibly aspire to. People who take drugs care only about their 'high' and nothing more. They don't care about their spouses, their children, their friends, they don't care enough about themselves. Why would anyone want to save such a human being? Drug users don't need another 'crutch', they shouldn't be pitied or shielded from their selfish behavior, what they need is a good kick in the ass, courtesy of my best friend, Mr. Reality. :toast:
Nobody forces an individual to take drugs -- please don't burden good honest, hard working individuals with other people's demons....let God deal with them instead.
I would also allow big corporations to use them for producing cheap goods at a virtual ZERO labor rate, so we can start to better compete better with emerging markets like China and India.

I agree somewhat. For those who love our country, our culture, our values, our heritage and language and want to come here to create a better life for themselves and their families, we should welcome them with open arms. The rest shouldn't even bother knocking at the door.

Well, I guess you did say dictatorship, but disbanding unions is rather contrary to the natural collective bargaining process.
I think a more prudent approach would be to abolish all GOVERNMENT laws that unfairly favor unions.

Please understand something, folks -- unlike negative rights which are essentially outlined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, positive "rights" can not be manufactured out of thin air. In order to create a positive "right", you have to take away a right from someone else -- the antithesis of liberty.
The framers understood this, today's "progressives" do not.

I don't have a link to back it up, but I read somewhere that Warren Buffet has a lower tax rate than his Administrative Assistant who makes 60k a year.
Does this seem fair to anyone? Buffet can pay 35% and not bat an eye. However, 35% is a significant chunk for someone who makes under 100k.
Shutting down all our overseas bases and not going to war every few years will pay for the health care system. There would be no need for exhorbatant tax rates.

actually, the IRS actually pays for itself. I believe they and the USPS are the only federal agencies to do so.
