deposit $1000 or more into a book, which would it be, and why?

a few years ago i would have said bodog and sia, as i easily received payouts above 3k directly into my bank account from each of those books. however, due to other obligations, i went through a stretch where access to offshore sites was limited. since i got back into full mode, ultimate bet has been a reliable source for poker payouts, though i have slowed down the last few months.

this will be the first football season for me in the past few years where i will have the ability to do whatever and whenever. right now i am placing my serious wagers with sia, as they are still the book they were a few years ago. i have lost faith in bodog as it is much harder to get money into it and i have read several horror stories regarding their payouts. as far as sia, i have no issues with them, it's just a matter of wanting more than one out when i decide to make a stand.

i recently started an account with betphoenix, but am limping along, trying to meet the rollover requirements before i try a cashout. so far i'm satisfied though.

but if you had a game you really liked, and you wanted to bet large, which one would you go with?

Agree 100%. I would also add Matchbook for bases. Second year I have used them and it has been absolutely flawless, and the prices you can get there cannot be beat!

yeah, 2nd halves are fun to bet with my 2nd bankroll through the week, but i'm talking about those handful of games throughout the season where the juices are flowing and to even think about betting a halftime line is outta the question because no matter how good this fucking game looked before the kickoff, you've got a real nut sweating factory going on....

I agree. Sometimes a game isn't worth betting until halftime.

Example would be 2nd half over bets in Tennessee and Miami of Florida games. Yes, I live on the edge.

For this purpose there is no better book than Greek, as they open most 2H lines these days. Sometimes they beat books like Bookmaker by a good 5 minutes on CBB totals.

Bookmaker for the early lines. Matchbook for good lines and vig. Then take your pick from BetJamaica, Greek or 5Dimes for a third out for some line shopping.

For anyone outside the States, Pinnacle has to go at the top of the list. Low juice, lots and lots of bets, excellent user interface.
