A better idea would be put all those guys on the floor and call them the "US Olympic Team". Tired of hearing all these other countries talk about how close they have come to the US just because we never get a team like that out there.
for one season I would choose Pierce from the first list and Shaq from the second.
If it was for the remainder of their NBA career from this point forward I would choose Duncan.
That being said if Lebron were on either list I would choose him ahead of all the rest. I think when it's all said and done he will be regarded as the greatest ever, even greater than MJ23.
Paul Pierce from that list (whatever the reason is you came up with those guys).........And Shaq barely over Duncan on that second list someone made.... What's neat to think about is Duncan and Tracy Mrcgady could be playing on the same team if David Robinson hadn't of changed Duncan's mind at that last minute. People talk about Shaq and Kobe duo.......If A Duncan and Mcgrady duo would of went through, Shaq and Kobe wouldnt be wearing the rings they currently have.....
If all the players today got dispersed like in a playground game and you wanted to go with who do you pick first, not just for today but for rest of careers, I'd say:
Garnett then Duncan. Neither one will ever be as dominant as Shaq was but Shaq is on downside and closer to end of career.
Pierce then Francis in a clear line of demarkation over the remaining 3 players(slick wingmen with inside and outside game are harder to find than quality PG)..then Odom then Walker then Payton(down to just a few yrs left).
Then again I've only watched 30 NBA games since '00..what do I know?
