<!--StartFragment --> SAN DIEGO – Former NFL running back Lawrence Phillips is wanted for questioning by San Diego police in connection with a domestic violence case that police said occurred here earlier this month.

Phillips also has an outstanding felony warrant from Los Angeles for an unrelated domestic violence case, San Diego police said.

Phillips, 30, was drafted sixth overall by the St. Louis Rams in 1996. A year later he was released by the Miami Dolphins. In 1999, he was released by the San Francisco 49ers for insubordination.

He has been in and out of trouble with the law since his college days in Nebraska, including an 1995 incident in Nebraska where he dragged his girlfriend down several flights of stairs. He pleaded no contest in that case.

Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on Phillip's whereabouts. Police said he is in excellent physical condition and should be considered dangerous.

Phillips may be driving a white Acura or a black Honda, police said.

Anyone who sees Phillips is asked to call San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2000 or to Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.

And to think that Ozzie Newsome got booed in Baltimore for drafting Jonathan Ogden instead of Phillips as the Ravens 1st ever draft pick.

I think I saw him ripping it up at scripps in La Jolla, I always thought of him as longboarder.
