My favorite number. Once caught a repeater of this number at the Las Vegas Hilton, the second one was for the limit. :puppy:

relax everyone. I know chop and he was just messing with me, he is a good guy. He wasn't trying to be harsh.

I have a real ambition to succeed in life and gambling and I love to hear other peoples ideas on how they did it or would do it. I got lucky in life about 5 years ago and fell into a 6 figure job and now beleieve if you bust your ass at something you love to do (passion) than you can be successful, if your plan is well thought out. I love motivational books and success stories they are uplifting.

Insiders, I think alot all day and when something good comes to mind I post it. Nothing better than being away from the computer after posting a interesting question than coming back to see what the responses are. Kinda of like reading a good newspaper when you get home.

I usually blow my change after playing craps on the way to the cashier window at the roulette tabel...Playing a section of 8-10-12 25-27-29. Black 29 is right in the middle of those...Have caught it many times. Had Every floor person at the Stardust once watching me.....lol Ran 35 grocery dollars into 3500 in about 15 mintues...Lucky that day, or was it at night? lol

$250k won't go far at all. You need about 10x that to have financial security with a decent lifestyle.

This may very well be true in the future. I guess it really depends on Where one lives..Az is very expensive, and Oklahoma is fairly cheap, those are the only 2 that i have direct contact with.

No different than what I'm doing now, expect my bankroll would be larger and I get to retire a year earlier. Maybe by 2009.

Kyhawk and myself would pay honor to ROD CAREW many times with our one time shot at 29 black as we would be on our way to the buffet in some Vegas casino.

Don't recall EVER cashing.

Can I ask what's your job? I'm in the same boat in that I want to find a job I'm passionate about. I'm trying to brainstorm and find something. Any suggestions on books? Right now I'm reading "Blink" by Malcom Gladwell.

thanks and always enjoy the questions you put up. :103631605

I'd throw it all into a deferred variable annuity. Save for retirement.

I would need 2 million cash then earn 5%-10% interest in a CD. This would allow me nice lifestyle at 100k - 200k a year.

Use the 250k to purchase a property to fix up. Sell and do it over and over again.

Find a well financed network marketing company that is just getting started and has a unique product with sizzle.

Why not buy 10 properties for that much and hire out contractors to do it? Pumping 250k into one property seems like a monumental waste when financing is easy.
