If Roethlisberger can put up 42 against the vaunted Jags D I see
no reason why Brady can't do the same thing. Having said that the
reason why NE will beat Jacks is, unlike Tomlin, Belichick will have
his team prepared. Nobody does it better.

Does anyone really think the Jags will jump out to a 21 point lead?
I didn't think so.

What separates Belichick and company from the rest of the league is
they leave no stone unturned. There's nothing that the Jags can do to
surprise them.

And last but not least, they actually know how to tackle.

Finally we hear from someone with a voice of reason, I think the Jaguars will have a very rough go of it up in NE. They're not playing Tomlins' band of clowns who all have their own agenda, instead of a Team first mentality. If anyone thinks the Jaguars are going into NE next Sunday and laying 35/45 points on this Team, I think that they really haven't paid attention to NEs' defense as of late. Brady and Belichick will not lose this game and will never take their foot off the gas with #6 in their gun sights. The only way and I do mean only way, the Jags win is that if Brady were to ever get knocked out of the game, then they'd have a punchers chance. I just can't see Bortles having what it takes to beat Brady and Belichick in NE on "THAT" stage when so many others have tried and failed. Just my thoughts on it.

There is a serious league trend stat regarding PLAYOFF teams that score 40 or more points in the round before.

Theory being that they blew their load too early.

I believe it is something like 9-32-3 against the spread in the next round.

The Jags gave up 42, but anyone who watched that game will tell you it wasn't that close. Jacksonville was basically two scores ahead and played the entire second half in a prevent defense because they had such a large lead. Steelers also had a few fourth down Hail Mary TDs that worked out for them. Yet I never really felt the Jags would lose.

The Jags DL is good enough to get after Tom Brady and disrupt his timing, which is how you slow down the Patriots offense. What worries me is the Jags seem very pleased with themselves for having won in Pittsburgh...and even if they lose, they will still consider their season a success. I'm going to take a long look at the Jax money line leading up to kickoff...

I got 9-28 ATS since 1990, basically same numbers, I'm assuming you went further back.

If you like Jacksonville to win this weekend (vs the Patriots), consider a ML Parlay with the Eagles

Presently approximately +934

The Patriots are thinking about Jacksonville and nobody but Jacksonville

and they're not giving the Jaqs extra motivation by disrespecting them in some way

actually the opposite is more true, and I love it when Brady and the Pats have some sort of edge (be it real or trumped up)

Willie, I'm embarrassed for the city I called home for 50 years.
Time has pasted the Rooney family by. When the defense gives up
45 points to a less than stellar Jags offense and their reaction
is to fire the offensive coordinator something has run amuck in
their thought process.

My brother in law is a city cop who does off duty security work
on the sidelines and he tells me that Tomlin runs the team like
a resort. No discipline whatsoever. So it doesn't surprise me they
lost.
