Why would you even make this comment? Why is the need and what is the point? Just to start trouble for no reason?

Have a good night.

Economic sanctions will cripple an already crappy Russian economy.

No worse than what it already is.....Putin does not care if his people starve to death or not.

He claims (well, he first claims these are rebels not Russian troops) they are there to protect native Russians from violence that live in the Ukraine. His motivation? To take back the Ukraine from the Ukrainians.

The Russians are unilaterally invading a sovereign nation, without the support of most of the world community, looking for terrorists and weapons of mass destruction.

What are they thinking? Why do they think they can get away with this?

Russia is going to make sure they control Crimea one way or another and no one is going to do anything about it since Crimea isn't a part of Ukraine or Russia. Russia wants the port there and to make sure their area of control doesn't get smaller. Europe can't sanction Russia without a huge hit to oil prices since Putin controls the pipelines. This will all blow over and hopefully Ukraine can start over on their own which I expect they will, albeit without Crimea acting hand in hand. Russia knows if they go into Ukraine then things will get real, but since Crimea isn't a part of any country they can get away with it.

That's my input anyway.

France is transferring military hardware to Russia
During crisis, the business continues ... First two large warships purchased in 2011 by Russia to France, the helicopter carrier Vladivostok is in great shape. If all goes as planned, a symbolic but powerful demonstration of military solidarity between Paris and Moscow will be given Wednesday, March 5 at 18: 30 pm

Exactly, Only reason he moved on Crimea is to protect his pipelines. The U.S wants to make a big deal out of this, But didn't we fabricate WMD to move on IRAQ to get a bead on the OIL there? Secondly, The U.S needs to start worrying about themselves instead of trying to be everyones big brother.. If they do impose a boycott of Russia, it is rumored Putin will take control of all U.S entities in Russia. That would hurt U.S companies a lot.

Also we are supposed to be sending a billion dollars in aid to the Ukraine. We have our own Ukraine here (Detroit) I guess they aren't as important as the Ukraine.

The traditional beginning to Russia began in 882 with the unification of the Eastern slavic state calling itself Kievian Rus'. So the Russians from their very beginning have had ties to the Ukrainian region.

But the main reason that Putin is in the Crimea is to protect their naval base at Sevastopol, where their Black sea fleet is located. The Russians believe, and rightly so, that this base projects Russian power in The Med. They will not give up this base and will defend it with force if necessary.

Fun fact. The Crimean Pen. was given by the USSR to the Soviet Ukrainians in the 50s by Krutchev.

And the U.S. going into Iraq has what to do with Russia going into the Ukraine?

A) This is not the reason Putin is giving.
B) Why would they be fearful of giving up the base? It's not in jeopardy. Never has been.
