Where I would be ok financially? Well, that eliminates my #1 choice of Singapore.

Looks like I'd be living in a grass hut in a remote Cambodian village.

Singapore is a bit boring even though they have legalized prostitution. There are some cheap places that are within a couple hours flight you could go but then why would one live in Singapore if those other places are so nice to visit?

Yes. For a couple months in 2007. I loved it there. Very nice people.

I don't think I would care to live there in the summer though. Being on the Persian Gulf means high humidity.

S Africa, Aruba, the Mexican Riviera. My guess is even CR has a large English speaking population.
