If you had 100k to bet with, how would you attack it, what would your plan be?

I kept VERY accurate records dureing the cfb season, as many others did as well in the cfb forum right here on the Ole Rx. Even posted YTD records Every week like some did. Had a Very succesful cfb season as well as Bowl Season. Now that the cfb is over i am VERY selective into the cbb, and Pro sports are Exactly what is says they are Pro's.
Looking very much forward to the baseball season as that means August and the cfb are right around the corner.
I myself could not even think about makeing 500 plays per year.
AS my lawyer says about life.....He is lookin for Quailty NOT Quanity!
I do believe that the VIG will eat those folks alive that are lookin to make a whole bunch of little bity plays up over the course of time.
Vig will eat anyone alive even a guy that bets only 200 plays all year if he goes 50%. My point is it is about winning more than losing sure but I find it funny that people beleive that they can be selective and that almost GUARANTEES a great bet.Too each his own and beleive me I am the furthest thing from a sharp. This is my "style" and how I would go about approaching it. I beleive that this would be the easiet route to success. I have spoke to many others who beleive this.
I am not sure most people can give themselves an edge by handicapping, how do you truly do this.Just because you study the games doesn't guarantee you have better numbers than the public. But you can give yourself that edge by getting down great bets all year long.
There is more than one way to skin a cat, this would be my way.

AGREE its ALL about INFORMATION and gettin the EDGE that is worthwhile to THAT number. Agree Pickin Winners is the MAIN thing. Bookmakers have seen em ALL come and Go. Some makers will tell you that they dont care if you win Every week as long as you are laying 11-10 or -07-10 whichever the case maybe.
I find it Very difficult that Anyone can keep up a 55-60% winning percentage over the course of a year, thats 365 days, not one sporting season.
I guess the Ole farmer was right when he said "you have to make hay while the sun shines"

I don't have time to scalp and that is too many games for me. My point is that if you are on the right side or the wrong side, 9 out of 10 times that half point or point won't help you. That's why buying points is allowed. They know it rarely helps.

1 time out of 10 would be thd difference between winning 45% and 55%. Think about it.

I'm sure that fraction is actually higher. It could be the difference in 0% and 10% as well.

0% to 10% winning %? :icon_conf :icon_conf

EVERY bettor will win between 40%-60% against widely available spreads in major sports. It's that middle 20% (at the most) that separates the winners from the losers. Adding 3-5%

Quanity over Quality....NOT me!
I would and Do look for value in whatever it maybe, whichever sport.
Being selective and not get over balanced to anything. Jucie would eat a persons BR up before you know what happened, by gettin strung out ALL over the map with a bunch of little wagers.
Pickin WINNERS is what this is ALL about anyway. 10 plays a week would be a Huge schedule for me and is at this time of the year.
Hone Dogs would be my first choice when looking for something to take a little bit the best of it anyway.
Haveing 25 offshore accounts, one would see something every once in awhile as those offshore numbers are merely painted these days, it didnt use to be like that but it is nowdays. Only offshore accounts that are UP first such as the big stores are surely needed, but the rest are merely followers of the Don Best Screen as many of the smaller places move on AIR anyway.
1% wagers are fine if you can actually pick 54 % winners, but that is very tuff to accomplish over the course of a year.
I still take the stand that you Must wait for something of Value and then bet something More than 1-2%, and YES you must Win more of those than you loose. So it ALL comes back to the Best of the Number, Value of the Number and knowing when to step up the plate and make a Bigger unit bet.

Dang, some people might think I am a ghost for Insiders or vice versa. I believe in EVERYTHING he says. First of all, I am NOT a professional gambler nor do I aspire to be one. The ONLY sport I LOVE and handicap is College Football. When I play College Football, I KNOW that I will be successful. Most of the other sports I either don't like or have not as as good an opinion as CFB. If I play the other sports, I am GUESSING and playing with negative juice. As Lem Banker has said "SHOP,SHOP, and SHOP some more" I am a HUGE shopper. He also said "They play The Star Spangled Banner everyday. Look, we ALL have QUIRKS and so One Size does not fit all. Just as SIZE matters in some cases, EXPERIENCE really matters in this endeavor. We have had some really great topics of interest lately. Keep it up, LT:103631605 :nopityA:

LOL....Well we do see things kinda sorta eye to eye in this department.
And YES i agree the college football is the Best of it for me too.
We had a Very nice ride through the college football season and bowl season, didnt we. Looking forward to August and them teeing it up again.
Look for the Sooners to be very good this year, like explosive on the offensive side of things. Lots of Sooner totals Over this comeing year with Sooner QB and Heisman canadate Peterson lighting it up. Early test at Oregon..

Why is your strategy different if you have 100k or 1k?

I dont get this whole thread. If a strategy is good - why does it matter if your bankroll has no zeros or 6 zeros, its still a good strategy.

100k was just a number that was thrown out there.
1k is the same, just much smaller wagers as some thing that 1-2% of bank roll size is the way to go.
