i have never known anyone to quit at USD1m.

tis really a silly question as anyone who wins that much over a space of time is going to have lived a lifestyle that USD1m just won't support so has to keep going. ( not a silly question if won quickly but then person in question would have acquired the midas complex ).

Depends on if your talking winning the ONE MILLION in one day or over the course of many seasons. Much more apt to quit if the MILL was made in one day. Personally, will never stop gambling in either scenario.

I think the answer lies in what 1 million dollars means to one. To me, 1 million dollars would guarantee many many things. I dont think it would be the only reason to stop gambling. Heck its not like Im gonna lose 1 million dollars betting 50 and 100 bucks. The one thing I do guarantee is not using the million bucks to gamble with. I would just continue gambling with whatever I had in the first place.

kenny,

Anyone that says they'd quit is outright lying. I made a poll here 2.5 yrs ago and if i am not mistaken, a very large majority said they'd never quit. of course not quit. you think people only bet for the money?? lol of course money has a lot to do with it, but maybe 25% of the reason. people bet because gambling just adds excitement to someone's life.it makes you live on the edge sort of..it passes the time when you are bored at night and want to enjoy a good sporting event. makes you forget about the world. gives you that high that is priceless..for those 3 hrs, your world is great. if i have 4.5 million one day and it's sunday 1 pm kickoff, you think i am just going to say ahhh forget it, i am rich? NO WAY..

to prove i am right, my ex bookie partner won the lottery here in Canada 4 yrs ago,( 6/49) and is now worth about 14 million..i asked him 8 yrs ago, if you won the lottery, would you quit? and he said, of course. well guess what.. today, he sits home every night and gambles dimes across the board. I tell him,wtf you betting for? you make 20k a week alone in interest. he can be on some island travelling the world being around beautiful women. Yet he only would prefer to sit in his house and gamble because he says it's exciting. And it's true, because gambling is addictive, just like cigarettes.you think people smoke because they just love cigarettes? same with gambling..

we will never quit because gambling is a high for all of us and gives us all an opportunity in life of living on the edge. that feeling of when the field goal kicker is lining up from 52 yards for your win or loss is priceless.nothing beats that moment when your heart is racing a mile a minute, which is what keeps bringing us back, no matter how much money we have. All the money in the world cannot buy that feeling you get in the dying seconds of your big bet..

Remember the famous saying...and I will never forget this..one of my favorite gambling sayings of all time..

Q- What is the best part of gambling..

A- Winning..

Q- What is the second best part of gambling..

A- Losing..

________

And that's very true, which is why we will NEVER stop gambling, because it just adds too much excitement to our lives. Besides, how else would we spend our Sunday afternoons..
