You SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP SUGAR BOWL GAME, THIS IS GOING TO BE ALL MESSED UP IF OKLAHOMA FREAKING LOSES TO KANSAS STATE ON THE LAST GAME OF THE DAMN SEASON..

THAT HEAVILY FAVORS USC AND LSU
AS FAR AS NOW USC DID THERE PART AND LSU IS DOING THERES..

ANYBODY AND THERE MOTHERS CAN ARGUE FOR EACH TEAM...

And if the #1 team in the country loses by more then one touchdown they shouldnt deserve to play in the BCS Championship game..

I believe the Oklahoma QB said it correct,

"if we dont win Saturday Night all the 12 or so wins dont even matter"

I agree EGD, we saw this crap with the Huskers a few years ago. Beating a dead horse, but the BCS needs to be scrapped!!

SC is going to get the shaft big time. How the hell can SC be ranked #1 and not be invited to the Sugar Bowl? What a bunch of crap. Bowl Championship Sham needs to be scrapped.

Ladies and gentleman...it looks like we could have the first split national championship under the BCS system. If USC beats Michigan... it's a foregone conclusion. Unless the rules have been changed recently, USC would be #1 in the AP poll and the Sugar Bowl champion will win the BCS as the #2 team in the AP poll.

This may have been the best thing ever for college football. OU has destroyed the BCS' validity.

I like the idea Pete Carroll had. Quoting him, "If we are fortunate enough to beat a really good Michigan team in the Rose Bowl, I would enjoy having the opportunity to play the winner of the Sugar Bowl".

LSU HC Saban also mentioned playoffs, perhaps more coaches and AD's are coming around to the idea of having some type of playoff.

Hey, I have been on record supporting the talent of USC's team....but Pete Carroll should just shut the fvck up!

A deal's a deal and the major conferences all signed the BCS contract in full view of the rules. The ink dried years ago, so why abandon any semblance of grace and dignity and embarass yourself and the college football world with this nonsense?
Pete Carroll should've taken the high road. Instead, he was content to grouse and complain and generally bottom feed. His dishonorable, low-brow "we'll just have our own national championship" remarks, and his expressed contempt for the absolutely valid deal his team and his conference made with the rest of the BCS programs, make him little better than a scofflaw or welsher. Oh and Mike Williams....fvck you to.

Never thought I'd say it, but GEAUX BIG BLUE!!!

EveryDayGambler - Let's say this happens:

Oklahoma is 12-0 playing in their conference championship game. All other teams have 2 losses. Kansas St (10-2) beats Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship.

Now Oklahoma has 1 loss and every other team still has 2. Are you telling me that Oklahoma doesn't deserve to be in the National Championship game??????????
