yep,

I used to convert each game into a percentage from the above. If you glance back to last year's final reg season standings and look at top tier teams' win percentage for the year, you can see why baseball can be very profitable for some, and also taps out a lot of bettors early. Guys who can evaluate using the chart generally do well, guys who let the oddsmaker's lines decide what their bets should be generally dont last so long in this sport. In baseball I dont necessarily try to figure out who will win the game, on the vast majority of bets I simply evaluate what the price should be. Putting 1% on each of 10 bets that are +110 when they all should be priced at +100 is bank. But the process involves taking plenty of +220 dogs that should be +200, and not giving a damn when they lose in 5 run 9th innings because their relievers cant hit the plate. Most people shy away from odds steep enough to create 10 bet losing streaks frequently. They quit the strategy before the next 3 dogs win by 2 to put them well above the damage from that streak. I dont look at a whole lot of what people are playing, but I dont remember seeing anyone go tits up playing all dogs. Of course, with no money management system in place you will go broke eventually no matter what your advantage over the house.
