The kid is unreal. Looks like he was born to throw a baseball (at least so far).

Too early to say for sure but he really looks like the real deal.

Of course they said that about "the Bird" too. Remember him? LOL. Was it Mark Fredrich? Something like that. Never heard from him again.....

I've only seen this Willis guy once .. the one-hitter against the Mets ...

he's SPECIAL ... he has so much enthusiasm & passion for the game. It's great to see guy have fun out there like he's supposed to ... I just hope he doesn't get trappen in Marlins uniform for long as there are a ton of NE & western teams that would LOVE this guy.

He was a pleasure to watch.

Will have severe control problems down the road when hitters lay off his low pitches. He better enjoy this run now, because it will be short lived. Believe me, it is just a matter of time. Might be out of the SHOW in 2-3 years.
To bad, fun to watch. Oh well.

I was thinking he reminds me of Carlos Perez when he first came up with the Expos...his style on the mound as well as his stuff. I hope the Marlins take care of his arm.

Willis will have to develop another top notch 'out pitch'. His delivery will get him places for now when in combo with his current stuff. They are jumping over this kid JUST like they jumped over Dwight Gooden (my favorite pitcher of all time). Hopefully WIllis will continue to deliver like Dr. K. did for around 10 years.

Willis is not a one streak wonder. He has always been a top prospect. Who knows what is down the line. Pedro, Randy, Curt, Greg, Roger? remember them? they had stretches of both good AND Bad in their early careers so if WIllis hits a rut don't give up on him!

Willis in the NL, right after Jesse Orosco (ha ha ha)

Doc Halladay in the AL with 11 straight wins. Or Vernon Wells or Delgado whose bats are smoking.

I wonder if anyone has ever went 6-0 in the month of June? Is it possible.

Good article on him in current Sports Illustrated.."The Kid With The Wild Kick" They have a picture of him in his windup along with Juan Marichal, Luis Tiant, Vida Blue and El Duque. Personally I think Marichal had the coolest looking windup even though I have only seen it in old replays. He got his left foot all the way above his head. I hope this kid has a great career and I hate to see people badmouthing good young talent.

Speaking of the current SI Bo Jackson is on the cover in his Chef outfit holding a whisker. Hey Journeyman, maybe he has a nice yogurt recipe!!
