If there would've been a tie, both are named AL CENTRAL CHAMPS no matter who won the season series. Season series would've dictated who got wild card and division for playoffs but not who is AL CENTRAL CHAMPS, that would've gone to both. Cards and Houston tied a few years ago and both were named nl central champs, cards got wild card since they lost season series

technicality....I was speaking of who is considered champ when they're being seeded, that is what matters.
