I have never asked for this before but I need a rooting section!!!
Here is the scoop: I am in a handful of weekly/yearly contests in Vegas and online. At the Palms there are 38 people who are 12-1 for the week and I am one of them. They posted of the 38 people, 24 have Washington (I am one of them). The tiebreaker is total points scored and me being the huge chalk player that I am have 37 ( I know way to go out on a limb). Now they couldnt tell me if anyone else has that number (I assume at least one other does because it is the total for tonites game). The weekly winner wins 10k. The others will split 5k between them so it looks like $217 dollars a piece is guaranteed if Washington wins which is nice. The second tiebreaker is who had their ballot handed in first, which I handed mine in on friday morning (usually go there on thursday's but had plans last week so I didnt get ther till then). A huge shot in the dark but still a shot. If I would have put more thought into the tiebreaker I would have played lower, around 35 or 36.
Now I have the exact same ballot at the Stations casinos (remember these are straight up games not against the spread) but they said they dont give out that info and I cant figure it out on there great giveaway website (if anyone else can please tell me). The weekly winner there wins a car but I imagine there are way more people in this contest than the Palms as there 16 stations casinos in southern nevada.
Like I said it is a shot and knowing my luck I am sure if the game hits at 37 that either washington will lose or worse yet the guy with the same total will have put his plays in before me. Either way probably less than a 3% of this hitting but its a chance so cant complain.
Anyways I thought it would be I would post this. Maybe I can get some positive RX vibe tonite. Hell if I win I will actually hold a contest to give away 10% of the 10k to a lucky poster. So 1k to one person, or $100 to 10 people or however we want to split it. Like I said I dont expect a much but just having a sniff is fun. I just wish I knew if it hits 37 points if I won or not as I could be rooting and their was no hope to begin with. If by some odd reason everything falls into place and I do actualy win this it will knock my career numbers down to only -$20,000 in contests in my lifetime:nohead:. I honestly dont think I have even won a 50-50 drawing at a high school sporting event ot any raffle of any kind in my life (trying some reverse psychology here).
