He's in the top 5, for sure. Probably most underrated, underappreciated.

There is no better player anywhere in baseball at the present time. The most valuable fantasy player to boot.

Tejada is one guy who didn't sit on his fat contract 150 RBI seasons back to back , very possible!

Never gets cheated... Cal who?

Remember not so long ago he was the 'other' shortstop....the Big 3 and then Tejada...:suomi:

Tejada has now played in 787 consecutive games (roughly)

11th all time

11 more years of this and he will be approaching Ripken (2,632)

It is good to see you siked over the O's Journey. It sickened me to see you turn your back on them in the past.

I don't know why you caved in on them before, the old school franchises will always have a good year at some point

Not really Rob, you see I am old school...you know I love baseball as much as anyone, I hate our owner, I hate the way baseball has been headed since the mid 90's...I really don't know how psyched I would be if we/they are in it in August...that would be interesting, I use to live for the Birds....I have always been a Miguel Tejada fan....I'm not sure if the lineup is good enough past the top 4 and Sosa hasn't been that impressive, although he did deliver two days ago...Javy has been solid again...

The real key will be when the top of the order cools off, they must get improved hitting from raffy and Sammy....Raffy looks like he's done...I seriously doubt Raffy hits 17 home runs even....it will never be the same, I am happy the team is playing well atleast...... back in the days of the 70's, Baltimore was baseball, it will never be that way again, unfortunately.... No matter how good the team is now.

The team had deep roots that all died at once, Ripken was the last link to the great era.

I still thinks its awful Oakland had to lose Tejada.

Tejada could end up the greatest Orioles shortstop, can you imagine?

My alltime Birds team while I'm on the subject, I left Ripken off the starting 9 :icon_conf

Alomar 2b (Best fielding 2b of all time 10 GG's)
Tejada ss
Murray 1B (504 HRS)
Frank Robby RF (586HRS)
Raffy DH (560HRS)
Brooksie 3B (17 GG awards)
Blair CF (8 GG awards)
Dempsey C

Alex Rodriguez is batting 290 this year with 10 HR and 28 RBI, and a 305 Lifetime batting Adverage with 391 HR and 1124 RBI"S in 11 seasons. on the other hand Miguel Tejada is currently batting 348 with 9 HR and 32 RBI"s. in 8 yrs Tejada has a 278 Lifetime batting adverage with 199 HR and 786 RBI"s. I give the edge to Rodriguez, simply you can see he is alot more consistent. you will see later in the season Tejada adverage will go down and Rodriguez will steady go up.

They really havent played enough games to really compare the two this year. but heres another IMPORTANT stat Tejada in 8yrs has a 970 fielding with 160 ERRORS. Rodriguez in 11yrs has a 976 fielding with only 147 ERRORS. Tejada has 13 more errors in 3 less years, big difference in the fielding department too.
