Can anyone explain it?

Texas Tech could be 7-1, Texas will finish 7-1, and either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State could be 7-1 (if the team that beats Tech also wins the OU V OSU game)

And if Tech Loses 1 game the could tie Texas @ 7-1, Have the tie break to play in the CCG and still be ranked lower then the Longhorns in the BCS.

If Tech Beats OK. St. this weekend.

OU beats Tech and OK St.

Texas Wins out

You would have 3 1-loss teams:
Tech: Who beat Texas
Texas: Who beat Oklahoma
Okloahoma: Who beat Tech.

It would then go to BCS rankings on who goes to Big XII Championship.

In my opinion, if it happens as described above, OU would get in. They will have beat the #1 team in the nation the second to last week of regular season. That would catapolt them above Texas and Tech in BCS

So it comes down to BCS ranking? I thought maybe Strength of Schedule since they all play different teams from the north

Big 12 Tiebreakers
A look at the football divisional tiebreakers in the Big 12 Conference as released by the league office Thursday. (Procedures will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie. When three or more teams are tied, at any point during the procedures when only two teams remain tied, then the comparison reverts back to head-to-head competition.)
a) The winner of the game between two tied teams shall be the representative.
b) If three or more teams are tied, then the record of the tied teams will be compared in a mini round-robin, to determine the representative.
c) If the teams remain tied, then there will be a comparison of the record of the tied teams within their division.
d) If the teams remain tied, then there will be a comparison of the record of the tied teams within their respective divisions, beginning with the next highest placed team(s) within the division and proceeding through the other placements in order of finish.
e) If the teams remain tied, then there will be a comparison of the record of the tied teams against all common conference opponents (those common opponents that all tied teams have played).
f) If the teams remain tied, then the representative will be the highest-ranked team in the first CNN/USA Today Top 25 coaches poll conducted following the completion of Big 12 regular-season conference play.
g) If none of the teams are ranked in the poll, then the representative will be the team with the best overall winning percentage (excludes exempted games such as 12th games in Kickoff Classic, Hawaii, etc.).
h) If the teams remain tied, then the representative will be chosen by draw.
