I think the real problem is Brian Cashman. How in the hell does this guy still have a job? I can name you 25 huge bust and bad signings by this guy.

I don't think anyone honestly blames ARod as the sole reason for the Yanks' failure, but he's obviously an easy target for the critics. After all, he does get paid what he gets paid, and year in and year out he chokes in the playoffs. Whether he's one of 3 best players in the game is another issue.

Bottom line is that his stats during reg. season doesn't matter. They don't mean shit when you choke in the playoffs hitting .029.

You have to have balanced lineup to compete. You have to have someone besides Jeter willing to bunt the guy over to 2nd base. The Yankees have 6 cleanup hitters on there team. Sure that sounds nice, but that would be like a basketball team with 5 Micheal Jordans. No matter how good Jordan was, could you imagine him playing center.

The roles on this team is all messed up. And thats the fault of Cashman.

Bunters with this lineup? Are you NUTS??? You can't really believe that can you? A number of teams rarely bunt, this one should be at the top of that list. There isn't a damn thing wrong with the lineup. The staff is too old and has plenty of holes in it, but come on the lineup is daunting. When you have to think do I keep Giambi or Sheffield out of the lineup, that's incredible! I don't know if they are the best since 1927, but a lot of people have been saying that.
