Well, since that would be a royal shafting to Texas, I'd imagine the BCS would then put them up against a team like USC so as to make the Texas game appear to be the 'NC Jr.' game. That's if Oregon State beats Oregon next week of course making 'SC eligible outside the Rose.

the bowls get to choose who goes. I'd rather it be

Cincy vs Maryland (ugh)
Texas vs Alabama in the sugar bowl (great crowd, equidistant for both teams)
Utah vs USC (both west coast teams in the Fiesta)
PennSt vs OreSt

if orest happens to lose then replace OreSt with USC and put Boise vs Utah.

OhioSt IMO does not belong. They have beaten no good teams and have 2 losses and have crapped the bed the last 2 BCS games compared to Boise who went undefeated and showed they can play in a BCS game.

please please please do not put OhioSt vs Alabama. no one wants to see the SEC crush another weak Buckeye team

Another good post sdf. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Texas and Alabama get together. It's been such a forgettable year as an 'SC fan, that they might as well play Utah and show that a Pac-10 team can actually beat a MWC team, FFS.

FWIW, I have Ohio State out of the BCS picture no matter what if Oregon State wins. In fact, if that happens, another major team will get screwed too, question is, who? :

With The Conf, Tie Ins

this looks about right. My ideal would be Tx/SC, in Fiesta or Sugar.

we've already seen Texas vs USC in the BCS already. I'd rather see 2 storied programs like Texas and Bama play since they havent played in a minute.

USC beat up on a very very weak schedule and still lost to a decent but not great OreSt team and struggled against mediocre teams like AZ and Cal. Put them against UF, TT, UT, OU and they will not be cruising to an easy win. Their defense will be tested and their offense isnt potent enough to score every possession needed against some of the top teams.

USC is living on reputation. A number of people here disagree but their loss to OreSt is pretty telling.
