If OKLA loses, are they definitely still in?

I believe this is so, but dont think it should be, if they lose at the end of the season.

Identity, Good Point

I guess all the experts say they are still in if they lose.

It would be the same scenario as NU a couple years ago. Playing in National Championship without even winning their own conference.

linebreaker, the reason is because they are so far out front, even with a loss, in the computer they have the highest rating.

makes sense in light of their strength of schedule (14)

This may sound contrived but, they should award more points for wins later in the season etc. Teams gel as the seaon goes on (ie get better).

Its like the ladder concept if ya lose ya go down no matter what, if ya win ya go up unless the one in front of you wins.....

If they wanted to do that they should have a playoff system. Right now a loss in week 1 is the same as a loss in week 10 according to the computers. To me that's the way it should be until the BCS is history.

The ladder concept is already used in the polls.

If LSU lost before USC, there has been no games that were significant enough to lift USC over LSU into the #2 position, but since LSU lost after USC, Southern Cal is in the #2 position.

Computers don't use it but the polls sure do.
