If OKC never lost James Harden... do you think NBA Championship history would be different?

I dont think Harden & Westbrook can co-exist on the floor at the same time. Both are most effective with the ball in their hands

Better question is did OKC let the right guy leave? What duo had the best chance of winning a champinship? Durant and Harden? Westbrook and Harden even? Durant looking pretty injury-riddled now.

They didn't have to let anyone go with the cap going up. It was 1 of the worst trades of all time.

Although you have to wonder if Harden even wanted to stay. He says he did but most guys capable of scoring close to 30 a game and being an MVP candidate do not want to be a 3rd banana.

Harden is overrated. Teams need to play defense to win, he doesnt know the meaning

Not this year, his defense was vastly improved. Harden should be the MVP this year, he was the Rockets and carried them to the 2nd seed. Look at all the injuries the team had, if you don't follow them you wouldn't know. If Harden wasn't on the team they are probably fighting for the ping pong ball for top draft pick.

OKC offered four-year contract extension worth between $52 and $55 million and after trade Houston gave him five years and $80 million. So he probably wanted to leave and be top dog
