Tomorrow's Newspaper made that interesting remark earlier tonight about a bases -1.5 fave that he had that was likely either going to win by just one run or was going to lose the game outright.

Just wondering if others often feel that way too. I must admit I am "guilty" as charged. For example, let's say I have an NFL fave at -6.5 or greater, and the game goes into overtime. Since I can't win my bet, I will then "turn" on my "pick" and root for the other side, no qualms about it.

If I go down, they go down ....

I'm usually too pissed to even care at that point.

I am one of those sick bastards that still holds out hope I might still win somehow even when it is mathmatically impossible.

This is a funny topic

I'll clap at the TV, I'll be like "good dick wad, I'm glad you got picked off and had it run back if you cant cover I hope you guys get killed by 20" . ."hey nice job ass munch maybe next time youll just get sacked for a 5 yard loss instead of 15, way to go losers"

I will get some type of entertainment value out of my bet

One of the worst feelings in the world is watching the favorite celebrate like they just won the super bowl, after not covering.

Damn does this thread ever strike home.....

I think like that also.....but I do remember a college football game on the west coast....UCLA vs USC....or some matchup like that.....I had the favorite at like -12....game goes OT so I think I'm sunk......my team scores a touchdown and then recovers a fumble during the other team's possession and takes it back for a touchdown and pointspread cover......

This game was talked about before so I know some of you out there know who the teams were......some of you were also affected by that outcome.....

Damn right!!! For whatever reason, it hurts worse when they win but not cover.

LOL But be careful, Xpanda, we wouldn't want our good neighbours to think our Canadian minds are always in the gutter! :)
