If Cousins is a franchise quarterback, then a crap I just took is a 5-Star chocolate moose luxury dessert!

Which below average starting QB this year has a chance at a SB?

Blake Bortles

And I'm lower on the Jags than the consensus is.

QB can be the most important position but still lot of ways to skin a cat. Final Four last year was Bortles/Keenum/Foles and some other guy. Granted Foles is deceiving because the Eagles only had him for 3 regular season games, but the point still stands.

Also most would agree last year was a huge outlier

Would they? In the last seven years the final four consisted of the likes of Flacco x2, Kap x2, Eli x2, Cutler, Sanchez, Alex Smith, a crippled Peyton, Newton, Palmer, Bortles, Keenum and Foles for over half the QB participants.

By the way Runmaker, the mousse you're referring to is spelled mousse not moose.

I didnt say final four. I said winning a SB

Dont move the goal post.

Also a lot of those guys you listed are not below average QBs with the exception of Cutler and Sanchez. And neither won the super bowl

Not moving anything, you said “most would agree last year was a huge outlier” to Pats comments on the final four including Bortles, Keenum and Foles. Maybe I misunderstood your comment, but even looking at the SB champion four of the last seven include Flacco, Eli, Crippled Peyton and Foles, that’s fifty-seven percent and far from a huge outlier.

Cruise what point are you trying to make? Who is disagreeing? All I said was fans give QB/blame too much credit. The Dak Attack a few years ago being a clear example.

QB is important?

And Peyton in ‘15 was a lot worse than below avg.

What the fuck are you even arguing?

Are QBs the most important position on the field? Yes
Is it possible for a team to be good, and win with an average QB? Sure.
Has it happened before? Yes
Can it happen again? Yes
Does that mean QBs are not important? No

So what is the point of contention here?

Peyton was indeed crippled and very below average that last Superbowl win with Denver. A game manager at the most. Thats coming from a big Manning fan.

Eli and Flacco might not be below average but they are average .

Vikes will be lucky to make the playoffs

what a disappointment

Cousins’ problem is that no one cares about his statistics. He was hired to replace an efficient quarterback who took the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game. He was paid an enormous amount of guaranteed money.
He will be measured by the grandest and narrowest of metrics — winning conference and league titles. And in his biggest game as a Viking, he looked uncomfortable.
Cousins’ midterms begin with his foremost new rival and conclude with Tom Brady, who makes do with former lacrosse players and college quarterbacks as receivers.
The division is in flux and the season is in peril. This would be a good time for Cousins to assure the Vikings that they have a franchise quarterback.

Vikings shortcomings this season are with the defense and run game

Keenum is complete trash
