No. Well actually, you can only hope that they would do something so assinine. If they did that then the bill will get shot down as unconstitutional after the first 1st amendment challenge.

But they'll still be allowed to have sites that tell people how to build atomic weapons, truck bombs, and organize for the KKK, Nazis, etc.

Our government really has its priorities in order.

KKK or Nazi are not providing a platform that encourages people to pass from their civil pleasure of paying income taxes.

"Our government really has its priorities in order."

nope, yours like most governments, have got their hands in the pockets of organised crime, and organised crime has got your government pocketed, simple as that.

The bill won't require ISP's to block any sites, since they can also be used for news and informational purposes and not merely to gamble. The weight of stopping internet gambling will rest on the shoulders of the financial institutions and regulatory and enforcement divisions of the government.

If your check doesn't say "Sportsbook, Inc" or something like that, I am sure they will cash it. If you send your money to an agent, not the book, I am sure it will go through. What this bill would do is require law enforcement to find out who is betting, figure out where and how they get the money from you, that you indeed bet afterwards, then prosecute you hoping and praying that entities located completely in foreign countries are going to cooperate. Sure it COULD happen, but who thinks it will? My advice is if you are on the FBI Top 10 most wanted or say a drug dealer or terrorist...maybe refrain from betting. If you are Joe Average with little else to hide, don't lose any sleep over this.

Can you just imagine the backlash if word came out that the Justice Department instead of trying to prevent real crimes that cause real injury was spending its resources trying to collect reams of data on who was betting offshore. Yeah Kyl might like that, but most Americans would tell them to get their priorities straight.

You guys better get off your fukkin asses and start making moves to other countries with bank accounts because it will be the only way to fund accounts period!! I got money now all over the world, I was prepared. Also when you can get an offshore account you can also get non us credit cards and they go through every time.. Neteller is done!!!!!

Your ofshore bank will be your future neteller so wake up and stop trying to interpret laws and waste your time.

Right now I am already filling out an application to put money in Hong Kong also.

Stop being iffers and start being doers!!!!!

JJ, I think they're going to go after you first.

Maybe you'll bunk with Kobe & Rae Caruth.

I would assume you have declared all of your offshore bank accounts to the government as required by law, correct, jj? If not, I'd like to know how you think you will avoid this future law by instead continuing to violate current law - that is of course unless you've declared your offshore bank accounts to the IRS.
