If Aaron Rodgers Really Did Kick His Family & Friends To the Curb After Fame & Fortune, then other than Green Bay fans, how can anyone like or root for this guy?!?

I admit I'm not near as close to my family as some ppl are, but i would never disown anyone for similar reasons.

In my opinion Aaron Rodgers is a true POS until/unless he reveals why he did what he did & if it was for good reasoning...

Rodgers seems like a prick but I can't fathom how you come to the conclusion that he should speak publicly about his family. Family issues should be private. He doesn't owe the public anything.

I think you guys are discounting the fact that its not just one or two ppl in his family he ditched.

It was all of them.

If any of you became famous, or hit the lottery for $200 mliin, would you disown your family?

Maybe its because ive always been a humble person, but my opinion of Aaron Rodgers is that he must be one selfish, egotistical, lowlife Mf'er...

i agree

he owes the public nothing. Fuck that.

As a father I feel for his dad. That must be torture. Wish his parents peace. The mind can go crazy at times. Here's hoping Aaron remembers the days his dad drove him to football practices. That his parents wanted/tried their best and he can forgive any perceived wrong doing

But Ric, you kind of contradict yourself here lol.

You are right about him not owing the public (or his family) an explanation.

BUT...if be doesnt want to be perceived as a POS, then maybe be should explain.

Because the only other logical scenario & explanation i can see of him having a reason to disown his entire family, is if he really is a homosexual & his family not agreeing with it & treating him differently.

But even if that's the case, odds are very slim that some family members & friends were not in his corner.

Therefore, i think the fame & fortune thing is the only explanation, just like his dad suggested.

If it were anything else i think someone in his family would have spilled the beans by now because they owe him no loyalty since he shows them none...

The bold made me laugh.

We don't know what the issue is between Rodgers and his family and we don't have a right to know. You seem to want to make it about fame/fortune but there's no evidence that those are the reasons.

I'm a GB fan but I also think Rodgers is a prick. I'm not defending him, I'm defending his right to privacy. If you'd like to make this about fame and fortune that's fine, it's just worth mentioning that we have no evidence of that.

I also don't see where this conversation hasn't been civil.

Wow. That's the only other logical scenario you could come up with?

Maybe his family are all leeches. Maybe just one in the family is a leech and the family took sides and Aaron just cut ties to concentrate on his life and career. Not everybody's family is supportive and the fact that members of the family keep leaking things to the media isn't making the family's case any better.

I have no doubt that you're a humble guy, just found it funny that you decided to use a conversation about Rodger's issues to pat yourself on the back.

I think you're a good guy and good mod. We just seem to always have differing opinions.

It's worth noting that this guy was still on good terms with his family for a couple years after winning MVP, a Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP. Kind of leads you to believe that fame isn't the issue here. I'd say it's more likely that the issue is the girlfriend/family dynamic.

As fans, some things are none of our business.

This is one of those things.

I dont mind if you were to defend him.

That's your prerogative.

Its the shots you took in post #9 for no apparent reason after i jokingly responded to your initial post...
