This is the wrong analogy anyway, because people who believe in some conspiracy to keep CK off the field believe it is racially motivated.

I will not be renewing the NFL ticket this year after 20 years. I am no longer a Dolphins fans because their owner came out in favor o the overpaid oppressed players. I am not the only one that feels this way. I will not support a league whose players don't respect the flag. I don't care how much I like watching football.

My point is, anyone who disagrees with you is likely calling racism. You started this thread to refute that stance. So using Aaron Rodgers in your hypothetical doesn't really disprove their point as you are intending.
The questions you should be seeking to answer are:
If a similarly-talented white player (eg Ryan Fitzpatrick) did the same, would the backlash be the same?
If a better than average black player (eg Antonio Brown) did the same, would he be able to overcome the backlash and keep a job?
I think the answer to both these questions is yes. THAT refutes the racism claim.

nobody has ever argued that a large part of the reason Kap isn't getting a contract is because he is not very good. Comparing him to the best QB (or one of the top few) is silly. Compare him to Kellen Clemens or Landry Jones or Brian Hoyer and you're onto something
