Across the whole damned country, how much resistance have the cops given to the arsonists, looters, and thugs? Next to none. That's how much.

When that Minneapolis Mayor told his police dept to abandon Station 3 and let the arsonists burn it to the ground, that set the tone for the police and the thugs across the country.

The looting and arson didn't get to Boston until last night. I watched on two local station news cameras for at least a half hour each as the looters smashed their way in to Boston's most trendy and expensive mall and swarmed in and out, filling cars that were pulled up waiting with very pricey clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, etc, then went back in for seconds. Same on the other camera watching a ritzy clothing store on Boston's priciest retail street, Newbury St, get looted by swarms of robber ants. Some also filling cars that brazenly waited outside.

The cops did nothing to interfere for a very long time at one location. And a convoy of cops on motorcycles drove right by the other location without even flinching (that's on a small one way street. They couldn't have possibly missed the robber spree. Did absolutely nothing.

By the way, people live right above many of these stores that were getting the glass fronts shattered and looted. How do you think those people felt as this was going on, especially in view of all the arson that had painted our TVs orange all around the country for the past few days?

Be thankful you live in Florida where you can defend yourself, your loved ones, and your property. You can't do that up here. And guess what? Because you have that right to personal defense, you are much less likely to have those thugs try down there what they have been getting away with all across the country. They know what they would be facing if they tried. Think about that the next time you want to vote to take the guns out of Dick's sporting goods.

You're in Florida where the laws re self defense are sane. Up here and in most of the rest of the country we have real problems as police decide to "stand down."

I live in a Fort Lauderdale suburb.

We have a "peaceful protest" planned in my city tomorrow afternoon. How nervous would you be if your suburb city was hosting this?

My city is majority democrat but nervous that TOO MUCH riff raff is gonna come in and cause problems

we had choppers and popos actively patrolling our area last night...granted we live in the westlake/southlake area...so it's pretty big money.

I know of a few neighbors who I am friendly with who HATE a family in our neighborhood and i'm 100% certain that they are polishing their guns if they step out of line
