It's been three days since Kerry conceded, and my head is still bouncing off of the ceiling!

I see that the Democrat pundits are blaming everything but their agenda - and it looks like they just won't change!

I'm getting so much pleasure watching them self destruct, that I just have to share this moment for a renewal of my ongoing GLOAT!

Hey, Patriot, Gameface, et al - AIN'T THIS GREAT!

Hey Patriot, as a fellow Massachusetts citizen, doesn't it feel especially good to watch all of those Massachusetts Democrats walk around in a glum stupor.

Hey Wil, how are you doing my man? (gloat)

Why do I get the impression that you have a loooooong history of bouncing your head off of things? :blueguy:

Alas, we can safely say that Blight is more concerned about about treating the future of America as a WWF-ish or NFL Sunday rivalry than he is about securing the future for our children and improving the world. We've seen this side for a year, but unlike Gameface and Patriot who are more concerned about pursuing an agenda that they voted for, Blight is more concerned with making a mockery out of America. While I will never agree with Game or Patriot, I can respect their opinion (no matter how off they may or may not be) -- but how can anyone, regardless of affiliation, take this guy seriously -- let alone respect him?

America is faced with a series of daunting tasks ahead, and these are the only thoughts that you can muster up?

It is a sad day when this attitude may very well be the majority.

Remember this -- Nazi Germany was just as patriotic as right America.

Ah, Lander - My children are secure in their lives - my wife and I saw to that. However, I was worried about the future of my Grandchild(ren) if the Dems get control.

As long as the Republicans are in charge, I feel somewhat comfortable that Hollywood morals and college professor ethics will be minimized. I feel comfortable that the economy is secure and government will stay small and unintrusive.

As long as there are parochial schools, I feel comfortable about the education of my grandchildren.

I feel bad for the poor people who can't afford to send their children to parochial schools - the public schools aren't up to meeting the strict standards that are needed to give many poor kids an opportuinity to succeed - and that is a shame! Hopefully the Republicans will be able to take on the School Teachers Unions and set some national standards for achievement for teachers as well as students!

You feel secure living a state with "the most liberal Senators"? Whereas you vote conservative because you are so terrified of the insecurity that liberalism brings? As is generally the case with you, something doesn't quite add up Blight.

The enconomy is secure because it is under Republican control? We are at dangerous, dangerous levels of deficit and cutting more taxes?

The last Republican that took this route was Hoover -- nice job ensuring that history has a fine chances of repeating itself. Fine job Blight -- thanks for mortgaging our children's futures.

Good to see that you've made a secure situation for yourself.
Everyone should be so fortunate, but guess what? Hundreds of thousands of families are on the economic brink.
So because you have it made, then screw everyone else who isn't just like you? Real patriotic

The economy is secure and ......

Are you living in a vaccum bag? Gov't small and unintrusive? Geezus man I suggest you have Scotty beam you back down to terra firma.

Another lie perpetrated by the media.

Why isn't Kerry Pres. today?? I thought it was the economy stupid?
Bush wins Ohio by a bigger margin than last time. That was the state that was supposedley hardest hit.
By the way Kerry went to Ohio 31 times to Bushes 19 times to campaign....nice messege you got there.

First off, I got my education in Boton in the 50's and 60's - when the education system was very conservative and had minimal expectations for students - I learned because I'd be kept back if I didn't learn!

My divorced mother was busy living her own life - if I never went home, she would not have noticed. I learned my values on the street corner and I did what I had to in school just to get by.

I would have quit school if I didn't have the draft and Vietnem hanging over my head.

In a few words, I was poor white trash, and a street corner punk!

A good wife, a good primary education, and the GI Bill helped me to succeed - Those things and hard work! I'm not complaining about my life, that's trhe way it was and still is for millions of kids.

Because of where I come from, I recognize that hand outs pass on a subtle message that you don't have to worry about successs - the government will take care of you! What kind of damage does that do to a persons ego? How many poor welfare cases turned to the comfort of a drugged stupor because they had no belief in themselves? On top of that, how many lives have been limited, or even destroyed because odf a poor education?

I notice that most (not all, but most) liberals come from a nice clean middle class background where they never suffered any kind of deprevation. They're liberals because thewy feel guilt and don't understand that poor is also a state of mind as well as a state of being.

Clinton did a lot of fixing to the welfare system, but the schools are still damaging the poor!

Cussin and Lander, you just don't have a clue!

bblight these 2 guys remind me of the 20 year olds that got interviewed right after the Red Sox won the world series saying...."I've been waiting my whole life for this!"

They ain't seen sh!t.

You're right Patriot. My father, a very die hard Red Sox fan, died back in the 80's without ever having seen them win the World Series -

Most of these kids are just looking for a reason to party (not that I can blame them!)

I waited 41 years for the Pats and all of my life for the Sox - but I got to see both!

So instead of actually rebutting my points, you'd rather defend your intollerance by saying that "you ain't seen sh!t"?

Be that as it may, my background was not suburbia USA like you mistakenly stereotype it as. I worked 3 PT jobs throught University so that I could afford a respected private eduction. I also turned down a partial football scholarship to take a partical academic scholarship ...

Blight, my personal life will not go on the boards, but I've been throught a lot that you wouldn't understand either ...

but what I do understand is there ARE people in the world that truly, truly need help from the government. I'm not talking about lazy people, or scum that fake worker's comp ... I'm talking about mentally retarded, handicapped, orphaned, and the such ... things that you do not worry about and take for granted because you worked hard and have a nice home. Count your blessing that you have health care. Count your blessing that your have a fully functional brain. Count your blessing that your body works because your mom, regardless of your relationship, wasn't a crack head. Count your blessings that you didn't get your legs blown off blindly supporting the US in Nam .. and for what? I admire your courage to go -- I sure as hell wouldn't trust the gov with my life, but how can you deny that you risked your life for a lie? Yet, you continue to trust a system that used you like a pawn.

You took your route and I took mine ... but that does not change the fact that there are SERIOUS issues facing this country -- even if those issues do not all directly effect you.

Lander - the system that used me like a pawn was Democrat - not Republican!

The Dems took over the Congress in the 50's, and LBJ started the Vietanm war and the great society in the mid 60's.

Until Reagan, the Dems always controlled both houses of congress and had the presidency twice.

The Dems ahve never, ever been my friend.

The way they set up welfare denied a man in the family, thus guaranteeing a rise in bastardy - a shame on the parents - but how many marriages never happened because the guy couldn't provide as well as the state?
How many people ended up on drugs because the "expect nothing of yourself" programs detroyed already fragile egos?

You act as though Republicans would deny the truel;y needy - and you couldn't be more wrong! That isn't the Republican history!

However, the Republicans do want to have expectations and a degree of self responsibility from people who are on the dole. There are a lot of people out there who will do the menimal they have to to get by - thay are truely poor - in mind, and then thay are poor because of their inability to produce.

Lander - I'm and ant, not a grasshopper, but I have no qualms about forcing the grasshopper to work for his daily meal!

Let me tell you a story about the ant and the grasshopper. The ant worked all summer saving his food while the grasshopper spent all summer playing. When winter rolled around the ant was quite comfortable, while the grasshopper had no food. So the grasshopper ate the ant.
