Boxing Bet:
Hugo Cazares +180
$100
Cazares is a tough mexican fighter much in the mold of Antonio Margarito. Even though he has a couple blemishes on his record, all but one of his loses came before the year 2000. Cazares only loss since then was to his opponent tonight, Ring Magazine champion Ivan Calderon. Calderon is 31-0 but resembles Floyd Mayweather more than a boxer with any sort of KO power. Calderon beat Cazares in his native Puerto Rico in a very controversial split decision a couple years ago. In the fight, Cazares had hurt Calderon very badly and even had him on the mat one time. Calderon is now 33 years old which is 3 years senor to his opponent he will fight tonight. Cazares is a much bigger fighter oppoent tonight standing 5'5'' versus the 5'0'' tall Calderon. Calderon has shown his skills to diminish in recent history as he has had 2 SD in his last 4 fights and was tossed in the ring with lower compeition in his last outing. Calderon knows his career is coming to an end, and he opted to take this fight for the sole fact it was the only opponent he could get to headline a PPV card. Cazares will be much bigger in the ring tonight against Calderon, and I would expect him to come out fast and furious due to the fact he had to drop so much weight for this fight. Cazares dropped 10 pounds in the last week, so he will inflate to more than10 pounds heavier that Calderon in this match-up. Calderon has lost a lot of the spped that helped him dominate for years, and he will be just another Puerto Rican fighter thats goes down to a ruthless onslaught from a Mexican. I lean on the Under, but Calderons savy in the ring might allow him to make it the full distance. Cazares uses his height, weight, and power advantage to overwheml the Puerto Rican figther that he knows he can hurt.
Whats up Miz??
